Helloooooooo! I am in a VERY good mood today as I am off to London at 5pm for a weekend of drink, nice food and girly company and I cant wait!!!!!!!

Had a stressy evening / night yesterday - When steve went to collect Holly form childminder she managed to get locked in the car. To make things worse, it was steves company car and we only have one key. He ended up having to smash the window to get her out, and his company RAC cover then arranged for someone to come and fix it last night, We were told they would come out as an emergency appointment at 11pm, but they were not here till 1.45am!!!!!!!!!!! How ridiculous is that??????? Think they managed to wake the whole neighbourhood - oops!

Hope you all have a fab weekend - how was Myleene Verity???????????

OK so here the thing right,

Next week they have 'culture' week at school. and on wednesday they have to dress like a person from another culture/country.

So originally I was going to dress him as a mexican, I was thinking, Sombero and blanket with a hole in it.. Hey Presto.

Then disaster strike, I but the hat and its too small, and the adult one is too. big.

THEN IT COMES TO ME !!!!!!!

    Chinese Person.

So i decide to make it myself.... now as you all know im not a make it yourself person... im a go and buy it person.

BUT OMG im so proud of myself. ive only gone and done. and im so proud of it too.

Got yellow card, and black crepe paper and woo hoo im done. and then i go into a shop and they have an iron on chinese patch. and ive added that to a plain white tee-shirt that was hanging around on the wardrobe.

Check out the picture on m FB site......

What trousers do you think he should wear tho.

Hope your night was quiet last night, Gill!  I think when you have friends to stay you just have to brace yourself for tired children the following day!  And V, I hope your night was quiet again too!  How was the parents evening?  We've got one tonight, looking forward to it.

Lou, not sure about half term.  You are welcome here, of course, but if it is too much of a drive, I'll happily come your way.  Leave it with me re. dates.

We have no plans for half term at all. Let me know if you are free one day and maybe we could meet up in a park or play area somewhere?

I am pleased with weight loss, but have just eaten a toasted cheese sandwich for no apparent reason (it was yummy though!)

I am off to London this afternoon to watch Question of Sport being filmed. My dad has a mate who works at BBC security and he gets tickets for stuff now and then and he has donated these to me. I am not really sporty, but its a day out!

Hope everyone else had a nice weekend????

Hi guys.  Gosh, Gill, so much for a sleepy village!  Goes to show it really can happen anywhere.  Hope it was a one-off.  Sounds like it.

Well done on the weight loss, Lou.  You have every right to be really proud of yourself, you worked so hard.  And remember at the beginning when it wasn't shifting and you felt really down about it?  It's all paying off now!  Good luck on the next couple of pounds, I'm sure that first stone will be such a landmark and really motivate you.

The new sofa is great!  Got some curtains today too, and even put the pole up!  There is no limit to my DIY abilities now!  Well, probably there is!  Anyway, need to shorten the curtains, and still have a lot of paitning to do, but I'm getting there.  Gosh, you'd think I lived in a mansion, but actually I'm just really slow!

Not sure about half term yet.  I might take a day off work, maybe the Mon or Weds?  Have you got any plans yet?

Wow verity what a nightmare. Glad you are in charge of things though, and well done for involving the police - lots of people would not have done, but it definitely needed it.

Cant wait to see your house Jen, when are you free during half term?

Lol at Gill sleping through the windows being smashed! I would be just the same!

We are all well, been for a lovely walk this morning and just pottering around house now. I am very proud of myself as I have lost 12lb in 6 weeks! Only 2lb to get my first stone off! I am DETERMINED to get it this week, as I am off to London for a hen weekend on Friday and will probably put half of it back on! If I have reached my stone before then it may increase my willpower and stop me going totally mad!

Oh Verity, what a nightmare.  It's incredible that one or two people can make life such a nightmare for everyone else.  I think you were right to get the police involved.  Hope it is still helping and things aren't as bad now.  Well done on neighbourhood watch too.

Hope everyone else is OK.  We've had a beautiful day here, and been pottering about by the river this afternoon.  My new sofa arrived too, so am feeling quite good about the house.  Just need to get the paint brush out to my new skirting boards.  But that'll wait until Chris next has the boys.

We have a 14 year old girl living either said of us.... they goto the same school and are in the same class. so have become really good mates.

Anyway to say there are going well and truley off the rails is an understatement.

They have been terroising the street, spitting on car scratching keeys down cars, bing really noisey late at night. (these girls are out on the street until about 11pm even on a school day.

the wake up the kids in the street on a regular basis.

the girl (lindsay) who attached to the worse girl of the 2 has had trouble with family polaying music until 2/3 in the morning. and her little boy is also only 4.

so anyway last suinday evening it all came to ahead when  lindsay just lost it and went bloody nuts on the girls, it ended up with on of thegirl grabbing her hair and trying to hit her.

By now John Snr is out int he street in his dressing gowna and puttingin 2 penny worth, while im calling th police. Then half the street is out giving rocks at the parents of the these girls. when the police turned up they have promised to sort it out, which they seem to be doing. Both girls have a curfew and have to be in their own house by 9:30pm, and are not allowed to make any noise on the street.

We have now deciced to set a neighbourhood watch scheme, to which im the co-ordinator. and everyone is keeping an eye on everyone else . its great. I have managed to secure security lighting and extra patrols on the street by the PCSO's and so far so good.

Hi guys.  Happy birthday Staschia then!  I know what you mean about time flying, it just seems to go quicker every year!

Hope things continue to be OK with Steve, Lou.  Men are such a pain!

Had Sam put to sleep today.  It was a sad decision but the right one.  Have been cheering myself up by doing some DIY!  Had a friend over today and between us we put up a curtain rail.  We were well impressed as neither of us had used a drill before!  So onwards, I might finally have a house without loads of odd jobs waiting to be done!

Things are ok with me and steve - not seen much of him tbh. He left at 5.30am this morning to go to work as he had to get to london, got  in at half 4, spent an hour reading his emails, ate his tea and left at 6 to to the football. Lucky him!

So sorry to hear about the cat, its a nightmare when these things drag on and you have t start thinking about the financial aspect. makes you feel guilty as you know that you have to get the medical treatment but the cost is ridiculous.

Whats going on with your neighbours V? Saw your fb status.

    xx

Hi guys.  Hope everyone is OK.  My sister's done Avon a couple of times and I think she's done quite well out of it.  Good luck, Gill.  Oh, and happy birthday to your oldest!  I get the girls mixed, is it Alana?

Lou, your w/end sounds good!  How are things with Steve?  And what about you, Verity?  I keep seeing your status updates on FB, sounds like a lot going on.  I hope you are OK and not letting things get on top of you too much.  How's the stomach?

Things a bit cr*p here, Sam (cat) not getting any better.  I think the vets are sitting on the fence a bit, but I'd rather they were just honest about his chances. I said this to the vet I saw today (I keep having to go back for dressing changes, £15 a go) and she wouldn't be drawn because she didn't do the initial assessment so couldn't see what improvement he'd made.  He's made none, which I did tell her.  Anyway, it'll all drag on, the cost will go up and up, and then he'll be put down.  I can see it now but feel a bit powerless to stop it.  Argh.

Kids fine though, and I'm fine, so shouldn't complain too much.

Hello all - well it is officially winter! Had to defrost the car this morning to do the school run!

Had quite a lovely weekend - went up to Northampton to visit some friends on Saturday and had a really nice time. Yesterday we went shopping to Milton Keynes to get Lissy some winter clothes as she has had a huge growth spurt over the summer and nothing fits her! This afternoon my mum is taking her to get some winter boots and a coat.

Hope everyone else had an enjoyable weekend ?

Hope you are feeling better Verity? Gill, I can totally sympathise with your money worries, I have had a few sleepless nights recently over the same thing.

Hows the house coming along Jen? We really need to get a date in the diary to meet up. Half term is coming up.....?
