    Hello....

the reason i stopped jonnie coming into the bathroom when i was either in the bath or on the loo, was he once came in when i was changing a tampon, and he was sooooo upset at the thought that mummy was bleeding and he went screaming into his room that I had hurt myself.

then told the women at the coop that mummy needs a bandage cos she is bleeding down there. and when i told him it was fine mummy wasnt hurt, he said really loudly "but mummy your bleeding. LMAO

it was very embarrasing at the time, but really funny now.

it just felt that it was now the right time to stop he seeing me completely naked.. I do wonder around in my underwear but not naked anymore.

John snr doesnt though. he lets it all hang out........ but thats a picture that none of you want in your head.... so i wont dwell on that.

If im on my own with jonny though i wouldnt dream of closing the door on him.... but im careful what he sees now.

Verity, I was really surprised by your last post.  You really shut Jonnie out when you have a bath?  Does John Snr do the same?  It would never really occur to me to do that.  Alex asks the odd question about why I don't have a willy, and when I put my bra on the other day he asked what it was for.  I just try to keep it really brief but be honest with him.  I kind of assume that if he has a bit of basic body knowledge now, he'll be less obsessed about it all later.  Probably not though!  Probably all teenage boys are obsessed with women's bodies!  But hopefully it won't be a complete mystery, and he won't be left feeling ignorant and in the dark which is how I felt in my teens.  Too embarrassed to ask anyone by then too.  At least he's not embarrassed to ask the questions at age 4!

Had a really good run tonight.  Week 4, day 2.  Walk 3 mins, run 10 mins.  Repeat 3 times.  Loved it!!!

Lissy is actually less tired than before school - which is frustrating! Although she does try to sleep in a bit in the mornings, and gets rudely awoken by her sister.

Gonna go and read the co-sleeping thing now. There is no way that my girls have ever slept in my bed - holly came through at half 5 the other morning and soon got marched back to her own room!

I saw the thread title but couldn't be bothered to read it!  Will now obviously have a nosey if V is causing a stir!  I think co-sleeping is wrong, and if you do it, you make a rod for your own back, and are basically setting up sleep problems for your child.  In a nutshell!  Which is why I didn't click on the thread, I have nothing helpful or constructive to say to someone, and from the title it sounds like she isn't happy with it, so my criticism is not what she needs!

Anyway, my loung is turning 'Egyptian Sand' which is a Crown paint.  Very nice!  Going to have a dard brown leather sofa, and hopefully coffee coloured curtains.  Can't wait!

Alex doesn't seem to be any more tired for school.  Hopefully he will be soon!  He's got his frist party invite, though, very exciting.

have you guys heard of CO-SLEEPING....

there is a thread on here about it.

i seem to be causing a bit of an issue about this

help! ds is nearly 4 and is an only child, and still sleeps in our bed

but i think there is something not right a child sleeping with their whole family ever day.. especially when they are school age.

what do you guys think..... do any of us do this now

Hi all, we also had a lovely weekend, went conker collecting with the girls, had a huge sunday lunch and generally did nice family stuff.

At home with Holly today as both girls woke with a temp of 102. Lissy went to school and I called mid morning and they said she is fine, but Holly full of snot and grumpy so I have the pleasure of her company!

Def something in the air, we are decorating lissys room on saturday! pink with a disney princess theme. Next on the agenda is hollys room - pink with a fifi theme!

Should prob go and blitz the housework........

Must be something in the air, Verity!  I've just started painting my lounge!  I ordered a new sofa over the bank holiday w/end and it should be arriving soon, so thought I'd best paint before it comes or I never will.  Decided to start tonight once the boys were in bed but have realised it's tiring work and not great without daylight.  Still, I'll get there in the end!

Good to see you, Gill.  How are you doing?  How's Nathaniel finding school?  Alex stayed for lunch today and told me he had chips, beans and mouldy bread.  I'm hoping this isn't right!  He did make a friend today, a little boy who had been going mornings last week, whilst Alex was afternoons.  I'm really pleased because it was upsetting him that he hadn't made any friends.  And now he has 2!

Have a sneaky morning off tomorrow, Rowan at nursery and Alex at school.  Suspect it will be a bit more painting and a run, but at least I won't have the boys under my feet.

Evening all.  What a lovely weekend!  We've been out in the sunshine all day today, and loving it.  Nothing special.  Just pottering around town and the river, going to the park etc.  Despite a couple of major tantrums I feel quite chilled out!  Hope everyone else has had such good weather.

Lou, staying off the wine!  It does bad things to me...

great news about the job! What a relief for you both.

Lissy is loving school, desperately wants to stay all day but thats not till after half term. She has been very tired though, and we have had to wake her most mornings this week which feels very mean.

Did you enjoy the wine the other night Jen?!

Lou, you completely deserved that extra hour so don't feel guilty about it.  I hope Steve was in good humour and looked after you when he got home!

Any news on John's new job, Verity?

Fruity, glad to hear your DS has been settling well into school.

And hope things are OK with you, Gill.

Start my new job on Wednesday!  Looking forward to it in a nervous kind of way!  It is going to be a lot harder than what I do now.  Ho hum!
