Ok, I'm not stupid, and know that prem babies don't really start the normal development process until they reach their due date... but I swear one of my twins, Amelia, is trying to smile. My dh was playing with her this morning, pulling funny faces etc, and she did crack a small smile... and he swears it was not wind as he didn't feel any (he was holding her!) I thought she tried to smile yesterday as well... I know I am just hoping too much, but I can't wait to see them smile!!

If my dates were wrong, which I think they were, and they were born at 33 weeks, not the 30 weeks I officially had them at (33 weeks is what the nurses at both SCBU's put them at given their size and what they achieved so quickly - like breast feeding at 2 weeks old) they would have been term on Wednesday (40 weeks)

What do you girls think? Could it be possible for Amelia to smile already? They are 7+4 weeks uncorrected, and I think 4 days old corrected!!

Theo smiled at 9 weeks corrected, so you've got a little while to go yet i'm afraid. Makes it all the more special when they finally do smile at you though x

I am asking so many questions!! Forgive me

When did your premmie baby first smile? My girls are 6 weeks today, which if they were term would mean they could smile... gestationally they are 36 weeks. I want to see them smile!!
