my ds was born at 34 weeks, his growth scan put him at 3, 3. he was born 3, 11.

i had a growth scan at 29 weeks and he was put at aboyt 3lb, i was on bp tablets for the duration of my pregnancy, i have done some research and its possible they stumped his growth, he is now 14 weeks today and was 9lb 8 last thursday.

There isnt always an answer as to why a baby stops growing as they should. SOmetimes an underlying problem is discovered but sometimes they just dont know.

As your daughter was 3lb 14 she most likely did put weight on after 24 weeks as most 24 weekers are born around the 1lb mark, though clearly she was small for 38 weeks.

My son was born at 30+2 weeks weighing 4lb and my daughter at 28+5 weighing 2lb 11 both were on the 50-75th centile for their gestation so maybe your daughter stopped growing later on?

My nephew stopped growing due to an extra chromosome in his placenta, so he was delivered at 29 weeks weighing 1lb 4oz. He's now 2 months old and weighs about 3lb. I am surprised no one ever mentioned anythin to you as to why she stopped growing. Sorry i'm no help just didn't want to read and run

hi every 1 i havnt bin on in ages that long that i forgot my log on details and had to regester again lol well ive bin reading alot of threads that had simaler probs to me wear the baby stoped growin i just wanted to know why this happend to you as i have never bin givin an answer i had dd at 38wks she stoped growing at about 24wks she was born weighing 3lb 14oz and was as healthy as a 7lb baby every thing went super and we was home in 4 days but to this day no one can tell me why she stopped growin so early into my preg ????? she will be 3 in aug and has now put on her weight lol she is 2 st 10 lbs lil chunk lol good luck if your lo is in hospital still xxxxxxxx
