Hi it might be worth contacting the scbu she was in. It could be that the sma is not suited to her system and she might need a different formula.
Hope she is feeling beter today

I never bothered with HV/GP when Hannah was still tiny. We have a children's assessment unit at our local hospital, and as she was treated there after her time in SCBU I used to phone them for advice. If they were concerned they'd tell me to bring her in to check her over. The GPs and HVs just don't know enough about prem babies and sick children in general.

Sounds like she could have a touch of colic or reflux. I would suggest seeing a doc for a diagnosis as if it's reflux she'll need gaviscon in her milk. But colic drops you can just get at any chemist.

Only an ounce, and she's been fidgeting and crying since. Showing signs of belly ache.

My daughter is 3 weeks old now, but was 7 weeks premature. She now weighs 4lb 12ozs.
I was expressing milk, but they started to dry up, so have put her on sma gold. Anyway she was taking 3 ozs each feed every 4 hours, and was doing really well, but last night only started taking about 1-5 - 2 ozs and at her 10am feed took about half and ounce then projectile sicked everywhere. She also done a huge poo, which was like a thick paste.
Am worried now as she's not really woken hungry as I expected she would and her next feed is due at 2pm.
I phoned hv and she said to just keep an eye on her, but im petrified now something is wrong.
Has anyone elses babies been like this. Thank you xxxxxxxxxx
