wow that has gave me some hope, mine weighs 1lb 2oz and im 25 weeks i have to go back wed to see if she has grown any more, i didnt realise they could grow like 40z in a week thats amazing and glad all is goin weel for u im just so scared that something is gunna happen or if she is born now she wnt survive iv had steroid injections toady and yesterday to help her if she is born early x

hi sweetie, please don't panic too much, 4 weeks ago i had the same news as you, i was 25 weeks pregnant but baby was only 15oz and measuring between 19 and 21 weeks. the blood flow to my placenta had been compromised and bubs was burning off all the nutrients that she was getting, just trying to get more out of my crappy placenta.

my consultants said i had two possible outcomes:1) she would be delivered early (like before the end of july or as soon as she reached 1lb) and they would care for her in a high dependancy unit or 2) we could hang on and see how she gets on but there was a chance of her not surviving in my uterus as the blood supply would stop completely.

not great choices either way and me and hubby were scared s***less that we would lose our baby. so we went back the next week and she had put on 4oz and the blood supply was better, so i started taking sanatogen pro-natal and omega 3 tablets (consultants said these would make no difference but....) and last week when i went back she was up to 1lb 11oz, the blood supply was almost back to normal and my reports were full of word like 'unbelievably', and 'miraculously', as they couldn't believe how well she was doing.

i now have to go every 3 weeks for a growth scan and they have declared me a 'normal pregnancy with a chance of early delivery due to size' instead of a high dependancy case, and it looks like i will get to september at least before she appears!

hi all im new 1st time mum, im 25 weeks wi my 1st and had  growth scan today she ony weighs 1lb 2 oz, i had steroid injections today and have to go again for them tom, then wed have to go for another growth scan see if she grew any more and look at her movements ect, hopefully shel have grew abit and her movements will still be storng but they have told me to be prepared cos they said if they aint happy wi the scan she cud be delivered wed, if they are happy then i av to go every week for regular growth scans!! any advice please?? im so scared that she wnt survive!! and also wen i have the cesarian will they put me to sleep or will i be awake?
