Sarah I am really sorry about your nan.  Once you have been to see her it will be fine - its getting over that hurdle that is the most difficult.  Does she know that she has cancer? I think that would make it harder if she didn't know and wondered why you were upset.  Hopefully this will be your month and everything will work out for your appointment.

Emma have you had a scan yet or will thursday be the first?  It is magical - make sure you have a hankie for you and dh. Our scan was one of the only times I have ever seen my dh shed a tear.

Rachel you must have a bump now. (even a wee one that only you can see!).  How are you keeping  now? Has he sickness passed?

Well I have no news of any kind to report.  I am on/call today but its not too busy so i have time to catch up.  The hospital has put a block on all chat rooms regardless of what it is so can't use bounty at work.  Or bebo or facebook!  weends get a bit boring now!  Its DH's birthday on Tuesday but I am o/c again.  He doesn't seem to be that bothered.  I am going to see Nemo on Ice on Friday with John and my mum and o/c on Saturday so can't even go out at the weekend.  Anyway I have rambled on enoughnow and John needs to come out the bath before he turns into a prune!!

    Hi Sarah

Yippee for 28 day cycles!!!    Hopefully your body is getting back on track and the doctor will be able to wave his magic wand so you can get your bfp.  You're right - it will be perfect timing for your appointment.  You could have you 21 day bloods done and everything.

So sorry to hear about your nan  ((((((hugs))))).  You get so used to grandparents being there that it comes as a shock when something like that happens.  You think they will be around for ever.  My grandad went into hospital last week too.  His prostate was enlarged which I think is now under control but they need to do tests on his bones as  they think that he may too have the big one.  Your nan would probably love to see you - blubbering wreck or not!  You could always blame it on the stress of ttc!  I will keep everything crossed for her.

Kim, sorry the witch got you.  How are you feeling?

Rachel - How are you?  Are you showing yet?

Speak to you all soon x x x  (ps, scan on thursday!)

Hi all, i think af is here, started spotting yesterday, so that means that i was right and i did ov round cd13, i had ewcm and there was 2 lines on the test strips for the monitor but it didnt pick it up, we were at dh parents that week end so we didnt get any bding in, typical!!! althought having a 28ish day cycle is really exciting because its come round so quick!!! so i was thinking this: if today or tomorrow is cd1 then that means that my appointment will be on cd18 and it said in the leaflet that they may do a scan to check that all the bits are there so she should be able to tell if i have ovd, that is providing that i have another regular cycle, also they should be able to do the blood tests, it should be at the ideal point really!! i know im getting ahead of myself here but i cant help it!!!

Have had some bad news this week, my nan has been isn hosp for just over a week, she has a heart problem and they were talking about operating on it, but this week they ve run further tests and she has the big C   i havent been in to see her since i found out, i took it pretty hard and i am worried that if i go in i ll just cry and the last thing she needs is me blubbing my head off, i feel bad because the only thing i keep thinking is what if we dont have a baby while she is stil around, our bub will be her 12th great grandchild and i would hate it if she didnt get to meet it, im so angry with my body for not cooperating and doing what its supposed to do!

well done on the weight loss kim its a step in the right direction!!!

the cat is fine, i have started letting him out because he was doing my head in!!! he didnt approve of using a litter tray, the other cat did she thought it was a great idea!!

those 4D scans freak me out, they look weird!!!

Em im sure you ll be fine, get in some ginger biscuits!!

i think im giving up on the stoopid cb monitor, it still didnt show ov this month, even though the test sticks showed 2 lines for around 3 days round the 13th and i had ewcm, typically we were at dh parents that week end so we only bd once before we went, oh well not long till my appointment now, 20 days!!!!

Well I had my first weigh in tonight and lost 2 pounds.  So thats a step in the right direction.

Nothing much else happening - on cd 33 today still no sign of af or bfp although boobs sore so af is on way.

Sarah how is ur cat.  I remember one of my cats having a lampshade when she was neutered.  she had a bandage to try to keep it on but she still managed to get it of within minutes of getting home!

Are you getting a 4-D scan rachel.  One of my friends had one for both her pregnancies.  They are amazing.  The amount of detail you get is phenominal.

Emma once you get past the first trimester work will be a breeze. Its is really hard going.

    Hi all!

OMG Rachel, I can't believe you will be finding out your babies sex soon!  Why are you having a private scan?  Is it because it is an early one or are you having one of those super dooper 4D ones???  I would love one of those!

Well, I started back at work yesterday.  Boo hoo.  I managed a whole day and I was so tired last night.  It was the most I had done in 6 weeks!  I only went in for half a day today because it was another PD day and I have agreed to go in tomorrow morning for the children's first day back even though I don't work wednesdays so my day off has been split into two afternoons.  Suits me cus I feel much worse in the afternoons although I had been looking forward to a lie in tomorrow!

Lots of people at work know or have guessed.  It doesn't help when you work with your husband who constantly asks if you are ok, how you are feeling, do you need to lie down, do you need a drink etc.  Bless him!  Oh and the fact that I look positively fat.  Not pregnant, just very fat!

It is time for another BFP on this thread me thinks.  Here is some extra ricicle approved to get things happening.

aaawww rach!! look at the little beany, looks like hes waving!!! i have a feeling in my waters that hes a he!!!

i still dont think i ve ovd, i had two lines on the test sticks last week end but the monitor didnt say it was peak, and that was cd 12 13 and 14 so that would mean i was having a 28 day cycle and that NEVER happens!! i give up!!! some times i think that all these tests just make things worse!!!

the cats not too bad, hes been in the vets today and he had pulled out a stitch so the collar has gone back on!! hes been running round trying to remove it and the dogs been running round barking at the crazy fluffy lampshade rolling round the floor!!!

    Hi everyone!!

Not a lot to report here, just that I'm going to book a private scan for the 26/27/28th September to find out whether beanie is a boy or a girl!!!   I only say  them when refering to beanie because I don't like using 'it'. There is definately only one baby. I have also uploaded my scan picture..........

Em - I felt the same, I thought the sonographer was going to say 'what baby, why are you wasting my time', but she found the baby straight away and it was amazing. I think you will be fine and can't wait to see the pics! Are you going to find out whether you're having a boy or girl?

Sarah - At least you have your appointment coming up, you need to stay positive! Didn't you tell me something about visualising the sperm meeting the egg.................. I hope your cat feels better soon

Kim - Glad to hear you're feeling better, any news on your kitten?

    xx

I am on cd 32 and have done a test which was BFN. Not really surprised.  Getting a bit of PMT so i think af is just round the corner.  Went to see Kara today (my friends wee baby). She is so tiny - they have had to buy first size clothes cos none of the 0 - 3 fit her. Just made me even more broody!

hi all, not a lot goin on here, cd22 and no peak on the CB mon, roll on 24th sept (my appointment date) i think my body has totally given up.

Had a bit of a mare yest, my boy cat (george) had been grumpy since friday and i picked him up when i got home yesterday to see a massive gash across his tum!! i was nearly sick!!!! it gave me a heart attack and we had to rush him into the emergency vets so they could have a look, dh couldnt see it properly because he was squirming round and i think he was convinced i was over reacting until the vet pinned him down to have a look, dh was like, oh my god!!!! I felt like saying - see!!!! i didnt tho because i thought the vet would think that was a bit childish!!! they had to anestitise him and stitch it up, vet said he must have got caught on a nail or some thing, my poor baby!!!!! now we have to keep him in, he should be wearing a lampshade thingy but he kicked it off in minutes so just gotta hope he doesnt manage to pull out the stitches!!! What a palava!!!! and i am soooo glad i got them all insured, they policy only started on august 1st sl its so lucky it happened now, the out of hours call out fee is £110 alone!!!!

anyway, bought singstar yesterday so im off to upset the neighbours!!!

    hope you re all good

    Hi ladies!

OMG Rachel - you've got a baby!  I bet you were well happy to see him/her again.  I have my scan next week and I am so scared that I will get there and my belly will be empty and the sonographer will look at me like "don't be silly, you're not pregnant at all".  I am so excited but so nervous at the same time.  How did you feel before yours?

Well, the summer hols have come to an end and I have to go back to work tomorrow.  Boo hoo.  I feel, this summer, that I haven't made the most of the hols cus I have just laid on the sofa with my sick bag, ginger biscuits and felt sorry for myself.  I am a bit worried about how I will cope at work.  I seem to be able to handle the sickness until about 2pm then I get really bad and just want to lie down and cry.  Can't see me doing that in a room full of 13 year olds.  Not sure how I will explain away my constant eating either.

I hope everyone else is ok.  Where are we cycle wise Kim and Sarah?  How long til your appointment Sarah?

    Speak to you all soon,

    Emma   p.s, I'm 9+1 now!

    Hi everyone

I am feeling much better now.  I felt a bit guilty going home on Wednesday as it was only a cold but I wasn't going to argue.

Rachel John slept for every scan I had - they actualy shook him (very uncomfortable) to try and get him to move. I even had extra scan at work and he still slept through!

Nothing much else to say but didn't want us to get any further down the line again.

    O M actual G we were on page 8!!!!!

Glad you r scan was good rach, are you able to upload the scan pic so we can see, you do keep refering to bubba as 'them' i keep thinking-shes having twins!!!

Kim you might find that doing the WW helps lso because it gives you some thing else to focus on, ttc tends to be all we think about so it might help you to have some thing else!!

Oh my god em i cant believe you ve got your scan date through how many weeks are you now??

its cd20 today and no 3rd bar on the cb monitor, i dont think im gonna see it, never mind, got my appointment coming up anyway.
