Afternoon all. I'm sitting typing in a beautiful evening gown and killer heels.. 'cos DH has booked (and paid, his treat) for the 2 of us to fly to New York for a few days and then sail back home on the last ever trans-atlantic crossing of the QE2 to southampton. I'm sure it'll be a fab hol - sightseeing & shopping in the Big Apple and then glamour days on the ship. I had to buy 1 new dress and 1 new fancy top so I don't look out of place. I've borrowed a dress off my sil also so almost there. Would be so excited if didn't keep crying at the thought of leaving DS.
Well done Sleepy re jigging when all fulla cold, you obviously meen busines this month.

Hi all. Still feeling poorly, and ds is really not well poor thing. Worried it's settling on his chest. Dh is also coming down with it - we're just lovely lol.
Sheez - this is the first time I've ever used the OPK's. I was starting to worry that I wasn't OVing and wanted some reassurance that the MC hadn't totally ballsed things up. I now think am OVing so there is hope. Just need patience as well now.
Impossible not to worry about the lo's isn't it. (()) Am sure he'll have a ball with the grandparents even though he'll miss you of course. Am sure the pressies will be well received lol. When is the holiday? Where to? Tell all!
Well we managed the deed again woohoo - if we can manage one more tomorrow then we've probably given it our best this month. Time off for me lol!
How are you doing Selwyn? Have you been busy too?

Morning all and hugs from me too Dawn, we all know the feeling .. total disappointment, after a tiny bit of hope hurts so much.
So do you all use these sticks you p on? Too late for me I think but if you aren't jigging every single day then I guess they help, espacially if you don't ov when you thought you would. Keep at it Sleepy, sounds like you are taking it seriously - lucky DP if he's not shattered yet!
I'm now off work till 28/10 - hip hip hurrah...
but sad cos DH has booked us an 8 day hol without DS 
I'm gonna miss him so much, we are so close at the mo, if I don't pick him up from nursery he asks why not, what's he gonna say when I'm awol for 8 days? Granny & Grandad are great but he'll be upset... but I've bought him 6 pressies so far, so bribery may work - one for each day!!! Hope so,Have agood weekend all

I keep feeling sooo sick/light headed but I think its just wishful thinking - despite my determination not to symptom spot I just can't help it! Feels like this is my last chance, 25 years married and 44 next week I'm definately getting past my best before date lol!

Right. I did the OV stick a bit earlier and there is a test line - a teeeeeeny bit fainter than the reference line. Does this mean I need to wait still? According to the instructions the LH surge only shows when the 2 lines are the same or the test one is darker. Hmmmmm.
Might have to jump dh tomorrow anyway. He'll be giddy with the number of jigs this week, especially as I have a cold and he KNOWS I don't fancy it then lol!
Isn't it odd sharing our stories of weeing on sticks - tickles me every time
. Not the stick of course. Now that really would be odd. Or nice. Depends

Dawn - so sorry hon, was really hoping it was your turn ((())). Is so hard to pick up each month after the disappointment but we're all here to give our support and encouragement. Thanks for the advice about OPK's - I read through Selwyn's post and replies too, and will try to bear it in mind, although tbh guys, am rubbish at these things that need doing at a certain time (ie certain time after wees lol)...am lucky if I remember to po(thedamn)stick
.Think you must all be right though - I have still got EWCM and in spite of monster cold (s/o please switch my head off until it's better) we DTD this morning before ds came in with his own monster cold. Yey. Reckon I'll do an OV stick later and see if I can muster the interest for another deed-day tomorrow/tonight.
Sandrad - that would be so so so very cool. CONGRATULATIONS on your 25th anniversary

well ladies not my time again that bloody witch got me yesterday bang on cue so feel like shít today with bloated tum and cramps
oh well seeing the consultant on wed so will get the results of all the tests we have hadsteenie families hey you cant pick them, you really are having a rough time with them lately, hope it all settles down soon
selwyn well done for doing the deed with a snotty nose and its only cd 12 im sure you will ov any day, if they atre the ebay tests mine suddenly go from really faint to really dark in a day and i always keep them to compare with previous days as they arnt like pg tests and get evap lines, also try and not have a lot to drink and hold your wee for a few hrs before if you can as it weak wee can make the test faint. and big (((((hugs))))) from me too your very brave
sandrad 25 years that is such an acchievement in this day, my parents have been married for 41 years now which is also quite rare. so if you did get pg on your anniversary will you be giving bubs a name to go with the conception time? if id of conceived when we went away to venice i said i was gonna call it venice!!!

sheez another snotty lady hope you cant get cyber germs lol im surprised im not ill all the time working in a gp surgery, i suppose you build up a resistence, cant remember the last time i had a cold (she says as she gets 1 now!) dd has 1 so ill prob catch hers now, im having a flu jab next week so i never get the flu either. They should bring out man flu jabs just for men!!
sleepy my old mate your prob at most fertile once the ewcm stops but keep up the jiggy as before ov is the best time, also read what i suggested to selwyn about testing.
will update in a bit better get tea started!!!

sandrad - 25 years - blimey! DP and I have been together for 4 years in May!!!! - nearly my record haha!
Well managed the deed despite a rotten cold - nearly suffocated in the act but there you go! Opks still neg on CD12 and I'm getting a wee bit nervous - don't I ov any more? ( can actually see a wee faint line so all is maybe not lost) must remain calm..........................Sleepy - what have you got on yours - anything? Its quite frustrating isn't it?

congratulations sandra 25yrs would be icing on cake if you got your bfp hun fingers crossed you get an anniversary bfp lol.
well girls am still here due on monday and no sign of them at all so not sure whether that is good news or just wishful thinking
gettin pains just about everywhere and went swimming tonite to try and help my sore tum but its really sore now and my stomach cramps are sore got mad itchy boobs and back and down right hand side getting pulling pains so god knows what is going on in that tummy lol hope theres a wee bean there .,......my friends hubby had a dream the other nite that i was having twin girls so that is about 4 people now trying to freak me out lol but hey wouldnt care what i have as long as i get that bfp.......my wee lad is 4 in 6 wks time nearly and i booked his party tonite.
got a funeral tomorrow my dh's great auntie am dreading it not speakin to tam;s mum and dad had a major argy with them last weekend thats why i havent been on here much been so stressed he shouted at me and roared in front of thomas and alot of harsh things were said to me so much so that i fainted in the hall in front of tam he went ballistic and said that was it we are washing our hands of the lot of them so 6 wks on and not speaking to sil or bil's gf and its been great fun.....they been b***ing about me to all of tam;s rellies and they have told them all to shut up and get a life basically x

Hi all - well its my 25th wedding anniversary today - can't believe I've been married 25 years it really feels like I blinked and missed it! Quite by chance "All that she wants is another baby" played on the radio in the car earlier and dh looked at me and said "I'm gonna get you pregnant tonight" when I conceived ds2, 3 and dd we always heard that song - very random lol! What an anniversary present though and if it happened what a tale to tell at our golden wedding - lol!!

I recon you've not ov'd yet Sleepy - is EWCM not a sign of ov to come? Have you a faint line there? Mine is so faint you have to squint at it ( and I may be imagining it!!) - but when I got a pos ( when bean was c'd) it went from nothing to faint to same as the control line over a few days. As you say - sometimes its best to do eve ones as well but I didn't that month. I may start if nothing shows up soon. Now worried that I'm not ov after last month but just panicing I think. A mmc shouldn't effect ov should it? Argh!
My chart on babycentre says I'm fertile towards the end of this week - and thats a 29 day cycle - aren't you about the same sleepy?

I'm still snuffling.... don't envy you Sleepy with 3 year old bouncing round when you have a cold - make sure DP does his bit when he gets in!!
Re OPKs I know nothing but I read lots of threads and it sounds like you ov at the end of ewcm so you prob haven't yet, so keep testing and keep doing the biz when you can - we use CBeeBies or DVDs when desperate for privacy .. but it has to be a quickie

Rose, great to hear things are going well although I know it's tough and exhausting the first trimester, especially with a lo to run after ((())).

)...ds is off with me today as well, and you know how good 3yr olds are at catching the snot - I feel like I'm damp most of the time. Lots of cbeebies methinks lol - and some painting maybe.Selwyn (((()))) don't give yourself a hard time hon, completely normal. I feel exactly the same - I keep fast-forwarding and thinking that ds will be much older than we'd planned etc - but it'll still be wonderful. My lost bean would probably have been with us now - weird thought...there are some things we just can't get our heads round and I think you're right, when we can we'll concentrate on the whole ttc business - but we're always here for you hon, whenever those blues hit. (((((())))))
Right then - ttc and OPK's. I now have EWCM but still no positive on the OV sticks?? I did one last night and one this morning cos I've read that it's possible to miss the surge. Hmmmm. Not that ds is making DTD possible anyway - he was in with us last night poor wee thing was so sad and snotty. Should I take it that I haven't OV'd yet? That the EWCM is a sign that OV is still to come?

Oh Rose, glad all's well, shame you are so tired... I have 2 pals who had DS and then were very tired with 2nd pg and they both had twin girls ..... tee hee just a thought!!
Hugs Selwyn, I'm not surprised you get down every now and then, you would be odd if you didn't after your loss, hope your cold goes quickly so you are ready for action again!
I gave in.. Sleepy will be so jealous, I've taken a sick day as my nose is pouring, I'm coughing and have a headache, didn't think I'd get any work done, so packed DS off to nursery and am taking it easy today so I can go back tomorrow.. I feel guilty but I'd only snot all over my colleagues!!

Well I've got a cold too. No jig last night as I crashed out before DP came to bed - oops. Ah well only CD12 so not too worried - need to get my act together though!!!
Hope all the other colds out there are getting better. I'm having a down day today - just wishing mmc had never happened but no point in wishing is there? Gotta get on with trying again - its the only way. Just feel time is rolling along so quickly and DD changing so much. I'd really hoped she'd have a sibling by now. Hey ho.
Onwards and upwards - got a busy day today - hoping it'll take my mind off it.

wow sheez a holiday in new york how fab, really hoping DF does something like that for my 40th next year and how great to sail back on the QE2, your very lucky. well if you conceive while there you could follow in gwynetth paltrow's shoes and name the baby apple!! ds im sure he will be fine with grandparents and as much as you will miss him enjoy this quality time with DH you will have a brill time, im sooooo jealous
sleepy well done for all the jiggy whilst poorly, opk,s mine never get as dark as controll line but very close, thats why i keep them to compare to previous days.
