Hi all, I'm having mega-af, think it's a sign to give up, I can't have this every month for the next 5 years or so, I'll have to go back on the pill soon.  I feel dizzy at times too.. not good.

Everyone else seems quite chirpy, I'm glad, get to it girls, I want some BFPs from you before I hang up my baby-making-boots.

Had a lovely evening in with DS whilst DH out ..again.. and then I surfed for pressies from Santa.. he's getting a fab Thomas thing from sis, a super castle from sil, what can santa and mummy get him - ahh I want to get the best pressie, what do 3 year old boys really want?

    & to all x

Hi rose - hope you are well!

Know what you mean sleepy - the glands in my neck are huge today - so on the paracetemol. Never been as ill as since DD has been going to playgroups etc. Germs and lack of sleep / running about all contributing I think. Feel so tired today but trying not to get my hopes up!!! A BFP would certainly be a great belated birthday pressi!!!

Hoping to put my feet up tonight and watch some soaps haha!

Miserable night here so def not going anywhere!!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SELWYN!!!!!! Hope dd had a great birthday too. LOL you guys almost shared a birthday, talk about close!

Sandrad - ahhhhhhhh. That's a lovely story - I hope we can keep the magic alive for them for as long as possible. Dom once said that Father Christmas isn't real - don't know where he got it from - he looked like he was testing me - I managed to bluff and bluster enough to get him back on board, and now we've got him telling daddy not to forget to put a notice on the chimneys (up on the roof!) to let him know which chimney is blocked up. Ahhhh.

Keep up the everyone - just found out that one of my neighbours who had her first 6mths after Dom was born, is now expecting. Obviously am pleased - there are 3 of us in the road all with lo's about the same age, but still a bit low too. Must try and fit in some jiggy again - we've been so tired and fighting illnesses that it's ahem been a few weeks . Dh is positively jumpy - I've just been so dead by bedtime. oops.

    Happy Birthday to meeeeeeee!!!!

Well - DDs party went without a hitch ( mucky carpet though!) and so many pressis! Lots more cards than me ( sniff) but thats ok - if we put them together no-one will realise!!!!

So tired after her party though - don't think you realise what a lot you actually do.

Lovely story about the tooth fairy sandrad - I do love that innocence - long may it continue. Thankfully DPs son is 9 now and knows not to try and spoil it for DD when it comes to these things - I'd kill him!!

Good news about your friend Dawn - we need good news stories like that!

    Hiya

Happy birthday Selwyn I hope you have a nice day and enjoy lunch with your pal.  I hope dd party went well too!

Hi Dawn good to hear from you and what lovely news for your friend.

Just notice Sheez your af is due today and can't remember if she arrived yet or not

Well my beautiful dd lost her first tooth yesterday - she was so excited. We put it in the little purple velevet bag and read the tooth fairy book at bedtime and lo and behold the tooth fairy came in the night and swapped it for a £1 - it was 4.30am when she came in to tell us - lol.  Thankfully she went back to bed but bless I love the innocence of the young it is so refreshing.

Anyway really must get on with some work - happy wednesday all.

    X

Well there is hope for us all, a friend of mine who is 40 has just found out she is pregnant, her new husband had cancer treatment a few years ago and was told to bank some sperm as the treatment can make you infertile, they wasnt ttc as she was on the mini pill just incase and now she is pg. He is over the moon as he not got any children. My friend is also happy now it has sunk in so ladies there is hope for us all, even me lol

well the kittens are lovely although very playful and they enjoy scratching the leather suite, ive bought a scratch post today to try and stop them, little buggars!!

Morning all! Been knee deep in wrapping paper as its DDs 2nd birthday today!

She's an environmental disaster - so much plastic!! The cake turned out well ( probably taste horrid) - tried to put a photo in my album here but not sure if I managed it. Party starts at 2.30 so am only in for a morning today.

DP is a bit depressed so not really entering into the occasion so its a stress - just hope he can hang on in there as you say Sleepy. Feel sick when I think about it. Gotta keep my chin up but frankly my own practice is suffering and I've no time to think about it! Mad.

Sounds like you've a real talent there sleepy - well done you. Its hard working alone I know ,so well done - esp when your wee man is ill. Makes for long hours from memory ( worked alone for a while but got lonely!!!)

My birthday tomorrow - 42!!!! eek - first time I've really thought about it as I channel all efforts into DDs ( great way to forget about it!!). My pal is taking me out for dinner - will be great to catch up. Mustn't drink too much...................

TWW is sooooooo dull - just wanna know............................

Gosh Sleepy, must be so cool to have such a talent that folk want the stuff you make - I'm impressed.

I'm not impressed with myself, was at Sainsburys this morning and didn't realise that all toys were half price, there were Ben 10 things that DS is desperate for and I could have got them cheap .. may pop out later but I bet they have sold all the good stuff .. sigh .. if I had half a brain I'd be lethal!

Good luck with pingu cake selwyn .. I did a Thomas one for DS's birthday .. it was OK but looked nothing like Thomas - doh!

    Keep at it girls x

Sorry AF got you Sheez - hope you managed to have a good time out with the brood-mates...it can be really hard sometimes.

(((()))) to both you and Selwyn for the next few mths - I reckon if you can make it through the next bit then it should start to pick up again (ok, slowly but it all helps) - they really have been making some sensible recovery decisions (just shame they didn't regulate earlier and stop things getting this far ), I really feel for anyone running their own small business at the moment, it's hard enough at the best of times but can be very worrisome indeed when everyone and every business starts tightening their belts. GOOD LUCK and HANG ON IN THERE.

Think we'll be doing similar for Christmas this year. Have  been asked/nagged (lol - nicely) for some of my drypoints and monoprints and seeing as I have the materials already then I'll be going down that route for a few gifts this year.

I love pingu Selwyn, and birthdays...can I come please ?

Ds is mucg better today and will be back in nursery tomorrow - even though he now looks like a zombie he's had such a rough few days. Am looking forward to normality myself. Sigh - sllllleeeeeeeeeppppp.

Hi Selwyn, fingers crossed DH's business keeps going . My DH works for himself too, but does contract work for companies, his current one ends on Friday and he's making jokes about having a long Christmas break, but it isn't really funny.  He does contracts at the big finance companies - HBOS etc and boy is it not a good time to get work there, so we may have a cheap Christmas and just get DS pressies, think my pressies will be things like a new microwave using my nectar points as I seem to have collected thousands, so may as well treat myself eh?

Just trying to build myself up to going to the Botanics to meet my pals with their huge broods..sigh.. I've obviously got some belated PMT today as I just can't be bothered with anyone 'cept DS... but he loves his pals so I'l drag myself out.  I look a right mess but hey ho, I'm not out to impress!

    Squeak later

Sorry af got you sheez its such a downer isn't it? Have you tried scrambles out at Ratho - its like clambers but better apparently?

Well - managed to get DP to do the deed two nights in a row! Wow! Had a pos opk on the Friday so Fri and Sat were jiggy time. Here's hoping.

His food shop is not doing any better so I'm looking like the breadwinner again in Jan. Its only been open 6 months so the downturn has clobbered them at a really bad time. Hope he can hang in there as he got depressed when out of work before ( had his last business with his ex but she bought him out as they weren't getting on). He's 56 in Jan - so unlikely to get a job with anyone else - self employment is the only option now and all he had was sunk into his shop. Heck - more stress. I think I can keep us going - but can't afford childcare too so he'd have to be a house-husband! Oh god!!!!!! I feel major arguments over that - the house will be a tip!!!!

Anyway - can't solve it all right now - its up to  him to try and make it work - just my parents get the boot in ( my mum really as she thinks hes a waste of space because he's not a doctor / rocket scientist / wealthy tycoon). Argh - wish he could get a break!

Hope the work is coming on well sleepy - don't fret about missing this month - I recon a month off every now and again is good for us ( easy to say eh?).

Still hopeful for us all - I know what you mean sheez about friends having 2 or 3 kids - just not what we had in mind is it? harsh life sometimes - hang in there hun. It ain't over till the hot flushes begin! ha ha

      Sorry for the ramble!

A lot of my clothes seem to have shrunk recently too, must be because I tumble dry them sometimes ... nothing to do with my crisp/biccy comfort eating .

Well looks like rotton ol' af has arrived here.... no surprise, but still sad about it.  everyone I know 'cept 1 pal has 2 or 3 kids, I so wanted to be there too... and disaster I've organised to go away for 6 days right in the middle of next cycle - doh... how stoopid am I?  that will only leave me 1 last shot before the end of the year, so no chance really .... really must brace myself ans start giving away all the baby things.. need more space for DS Christmas list anyway ..... who is Ben 10 ???

    Have a good Monday

I put on a stone (ish) after giving up smoking last year and I still haven't shifted it - although I have a magic mirror that makes me look nice and slim I simply just have to stop shrinking my clothes - did you know denim shrinks   I so should stop procrastinating and get on with some work but I feel like I did when I was 13 and just can't apply myself would much rather chat on here - the internet is such a distraction lol!

lol - when you've both finished with the tidy-fairy could you send him round here (I just like the idea of a little boy fairy with tutu, wings and a hoover ).....then maybe a personal-trainer-fairy, cos I'm in a bad way too lol. Dh has popped out to buy us some sweets - oops! We're all poorly and pathetic but it's still not a great excuse. Ho hum.

Oh dear, what will we all be like by Christmas?!?!

You've got an excuse San - homework!  I haven't just hate tidying up toys when they appear again 5 mins later and DS screams when the Dyson goes on, which doesn't improve my enthusiasm for using it .. what a good excuse.

So wish I hadn't had bacon & eggs for breakfast - I was going to have fruit.. what happened?.. and a roast chicken later, no wonder I'm looking PG these days, looking at my tum, if I wasn't a 'bit mature' I'm sure some of my pals would have asked.. my jeans are all tight.. and we haven't started Christmas eating yet - oink oink me!

    Happy Sunday all x
