Afternoon all, I had the morning to myself to go shopping and treat myself to some clothes and get the Chrsitmas shopping started .. what did I come back with? coat for DS - funky red one, he looks great.. but nothing for me except a packet of quavers .. boo hoo .. everything I tried on made me look fat - how come.. I've only been eating a few biscuits/chocs/risps .. tum tee tum - whoops.
Does anyone have a magic fairy they can send over to tidy my house - it's a right mess and DH is out and I'm too lazy.. perhaps some more chocolate will inspire me

Illness seems to be doing the rounds -again- Selwyn, hope you're feeling better hon. I think I've missed a bfp for this month - not done opk's but ewcm has been and mostly gone and no jiggy at all.No-one's fault - all tired and under the weather - just don't seem to get past one bug before another comes along. Ds had a fever at 39.6 yesterday and I took him to the docs - but happily his fever is lower now and at least he's not whimpering (that scared me, so unlike him). I wish I could give us all the break from germs that we need - blimmen nursery lol.
Thanks for the congrats Selwyn and Sheez - am really chuffed as I haven't submitted anything since Dom was born - just been too busy. Am now madly beavering away whenever I get the chance to go up to my studio.

Evening all - lots of good chat - Steenie - could you post something a bit longer - only joking - I don't need my bedtime book tonight after reading your chat.. far more interesting!
How's everyone's baby-making going - nice we all seem more chilled, but any hope? Nope for me, not enough action and pre-af symptoms, but I'm hoping for the rest of you - get to it ladies!
I've had a quick week at work and home PC is erratic so not used it much. DH is out all day Sat & Sun - what a bad lad. I need somewhere to take DS on Sunday - any suggestions Selwyn & Steenie? May try Deep Sea World haven't been there for 18 months, may try and hol the yawns back and give it another go! DS will love it ... I'll just love the journey back - ho ho!
Still not bought any Chrimbo cards or pressies, how about you girls - being organised or not? My sil, DH's sis, has suggested just pressies for kids - excellent, 2 less pressies to buy!

i have just been advised by a friend of a friend that sil is now calling me a traitor to the family
oh my god 
her ex left her for another girl and tbh if she had maybe treated him a little better then they might still be together well this girl as i am working in the legal profession had a question re something and my sil ex told her to email me through bebo which she did and i have got to know her really well and speak to her quite a lot and my sil found out and hit the roof apparently but hey she isnt speaking to me anyway so i dont know what the hell it has to do with her who i talk to man i can talk to who i like big deal he left her for this girl she is quite pretty and slim total opp to my sil and takes a pride in her appearance she is very much into her career. anyway she emailed me today to say she had heard from the ex and he said sil was pretty p***ed off at me cos i was talking to her and was a traitor to the family haha god i have never laughed so hard in my life lol.
if that is all she has on me then i have plenty to worry about eh!
anyway d day was today got sore boobs itchy in fact and running to loo a bit more often than normal but hey have sore tummy now and its half 12 need to go to my bed just stayed up for 2 reasons been doing thomas' birthday invitations done dora for the girls in pink card and blue for theboys with ben 10 and iggle piggle for the 2 weebabies that are going well my dn who is 2 and my friends dn who is 1,.
should be good fun am so looking forward to it.
its my dnieces 2nd birthday same day as ts party and sil is furious cos i am having aparty hehe she is apparently getting her picture taken professionally so i have been told oh well i am sure the wee one will love that for her birthday she only smiles for her auntie tracey so nae luck there lol!
oh yeah and 2nd reason for staying up my son has decided he would rather sleep in mummy and daddy's bed with daddy and mummy is relagated to the single bed in thomas' room
and my friend who i was bridesmaid for texted me too her wee girl was taken to sick kids tonight sheis on oxygen god hope she is okay wee scone what a shame she was up there on monday with bronchilitus but its got worse now i told her to text/phone me as soon as she has any more news. am so worried about her she is my wee god daughter she's only 2 1/2 what a wee shame

i asked my boss today if i could change my hours to 10 - 6 so i can drop thomas off at nursery in the morning she didnt say no or yes so will wait and see tomorrow. she said she has to speak to md first......as we dont operate a flexi time policy? no but apparently they are meant to consider being flexible with regard to working mothers surely? oh well will wait and see what happens......new girl started on monday and she has changed her hours from half 8 to half 4 so maybe i can get mine been there 11 months longer.......

Had a lovely time watching the fireworks last night then watched Home Alone 2 - thats it its officially the Christmas count down in our house, for me and dd anyway, dh and ds's groan but we know they love the build up as much as us really Ordered dd santa letter from NSPCC last week and she posted her letter to him too. Right well off to bed now night all.xx

DD was watching fireworks out of the window - and loved them. Must admit I prefer them from afar too!
Had a friend from college days to stay last night - feeling decidedly jaded today - that'll be the wine and chatting until all hours then...........................
Need a campbed under my desk...No pos opk yet so haven't set upon DP yet although his manflu is on its way out. Good

I'm on pre-af symtoms I think, a week too early but I'm so erratic this year I'm prob right, although not expecting evil ol' witch till 13th...but as I'm on - err CD err can't believe I don't knowsomewhere between 20 and 23 I think, then I can go to bed now with my book and fluffy PJs on and know I don't need to rev up to pounce when his nibs decides to switch the TV off downstairs.
We had fireworks tonight and DH used his torch to see where to light each one. DS came is and pretended to light fireworks round the house with a torch - soooo sweet you should be able to bottle it.. we were in stitches wee lamb!

Drizzly morning again - may need more biscuit therapy teehee.
mad busy at work but things seem a lot less gloomy at the mo. CD 12 today and waiting for DP to get rid of his manflu before I pounce. He was too snuffly and sweaty last night - no chance urgh! Even if I get it I'll still pounce this weekend as I'm convinced it was the Fri and Sat dates that missed last month. Opks start today too.
Rose - so happy your bean is wriggling away in there hun - must be a huge relief. Can't wait to see that again - its the best feeling ever!! Always amazes me that they can be wriggling that much and we don't feel it!
Dawn - congratulations on your kittens - how sweet!! Totally understand that you can't face the ttc - its a drain isn't it? then ov time comes around and we just can't quite miss it altogether! Hey ho - hopefully fate will intervene sometime soon.
Congratulations sleepy on getting your pics into an exhibition - hope you can sell some!!! I go to a few exhibitions and the art college shows - love it.
Steenie - a catch up for the edinburgh gals would be a great idea - just don't bring that nutter family of yours teehee ( I'd be terrified!!).

Hey girls sorry havent been on for ages my laptop and pc both got viruses someone hacked into my bebo page and sent a really sick email to all the names in my friends list dont know if any of you ladies who have bebo got the same my friend opened it and it was a virus oops I have no idea what it was but I think I have fixed the problem....?
Well dont expect to be expecting this month
but will wait and see.I got my hair coloured last week and went from being blonde for over 22 yrs back to brown and the amount of people who have walked past me lol it was so funny. My son told everyone at nursery he had a new mummy! Mysister had to explain what he meant!
Had parents nite tonite they said he was very articulate and they were a wee bit concerned that his maturity levels were a bit slow? I said did she realise he was 8 wks early and maybe where he lacks in some departments he makes up for in others - she looked a bit shocked and said she didnt realise he was 8 wks early and that might explain? Stupid girl looked about 18! Anyway she said I should still enrol him at school next yr dont worry i said I intend to!
Well the witch is lurking my tummy has been in knots all week so they may be here on Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday have no idea what my cycle will be so just wait and see,

SIL is a skitzo i sent her a message asking her if she wanted to do the xmas vouchers this yr being nice and trying to make the peace......she sent back to me "you wat to stop textin me!!!" eh? she is really loopy made the peace wi the mil and fil but other two can get to..... she ignored my ds on Friday nite when we were up there for Halloween and her dd was all over the 2 of us I thot you wont ever do that again.....gr gr
Anyway its great nothaving anything to do wi them and enjoying my nice quiet stressfree life hehe! Got thomas 4th birthday party on 22nd so just trying to do his invites as i have to hand them into nursery this week its only 2 and a bit wks away,,,would be nice if we got an early birthday pressie of a wee sister or brother lol take care girls xxx

..Some daft lady in a shop told me 51 days till Christamas - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no cards or pressies yet!

Morning Ladies,
Had scan this morning and saw babies heartbeat and moving around.. i was so nervous cos for passed two days ive had bad pains in stomach and was like windy willow and today ive had such bad runs as well so i was so happy when he said all was okay.

hi ladies, well ive just sat here with a cup of tea and a few digestives, why is it when it turns cold we eat more, ive had a big carvery dinner tonight as well. well ive got 2 new additions to my family, we had 2 kittens yesterday and they are just the cutest things, cant have a baby so ive had kittens instead!

Ho ho re hobnobs.. DS and I have just demolished a packet of Jaffa Cakes - to keep us warm also!!
Have to say I have totally got fed up with ttc lark too, but I like to read what you gals have been up to and will try and make an effort till the end of the year but after DS was 3 year-old from hell in the shops today ... ahhh I'm too old for it. Why do the supermarkets put toys at the end of every aisle almost? My DS was heartbroken as I wouldn#'t buy him a cheap plastic watch .. it was the princple, he already has one and has to understand NO! Doesn't help that Daddy buys him stuff on the rare occassion they go together without me - grrr.

hi ladies!
Just eaten 3 hobnobs to fill up my winter warmer flab layer even more! Its a bit chilly! Well - we had no trick or treaters round so I ate all the sweets haha - glad I bought that huge bag of fun-sized chocs!!
Liking the challenge of a bfp before 1st Jan sheez so I'll have to get to it. Think its this week / weekend I need to get to it - DP had better not give me that too tired nonsense or he'll be in the shed for the winter!!
This ttc lark has lost its thrill I must say - can't really be bothered with the opks and what-not but I'll just have to give myself a pep talk and all will be well. A baby on the way would be the best Xmas pressie ever - ( I'd miss the booze though haha) so I've gotta get on with it. My 42nd fast approaches......................................ooooh dear!

Hi - what a fab day, DS and I went to Edinburgh zoo today, it was quite quiet but perfect weather. Went with a pal and her son - my DS said it was a great day.
I was thinking with mainly mums and toddlers there, Selwyn & Steenie could have been there and I'd never know - cyber-pals!
Once again DH and I managed to miss 3 consecutive days mid cycle.. oh well never mind.

Hi Rose - glad all good with you - please let us know how the scan goes - twins would be soo exciting
I mentioned a really good website well heres the link http://www.mothersover40.com/ it has some really good info and is very encouraging of older parenting. I must admit I think older mums will become more and more common - certainly seems to be heading that way. Just think Sheez we could potentially be the fore runners lol!!
Anyway happy Sunday all - really should get on with some research work I can't keep putting it off

) to do before December 5th too and my motivation seems to have run away - beginning to wonder why I ever started this degree malarkey - I love being a student just not very good at the deadlines
