San do what's best for you.  If we did get a bfp we'd have kids aged 20 when we were 64/65 it's scarey.. but if it's what you want that's OK.  Being realistic it'sposs not gonna happen but if you want it - have a good try.

I suspect there is something stopping me concieveing, but I don't want to know so I'll try till 31/12 and give in.  My life on the whole is fab.  I have a good job, a nice guy and a perfect Ds (mostly).

DH is out tonight so I watched 27 dresses on Virgin movie-on-demand such a staged love story but I still cried at the romantic happy bits..I'm a hopeless romantic .. how about you guys - are you .. I'm also the eternal optomist ..in case you haven't noticed.

Hi all - well I have lost my voice (much to the delight/amusement of the kids lol) and suffering with a rotten cold!  Having real doubts about ttc again - the age thing really is a big deal isn't it - keep wondering if I'm just trying to relive my youth - worrying what people will think if it happens, wondering what if I do get a bfp then suffer another m/c, wondering if I do get a bfp and tests show its ill .... thinking thinking just too much thinking! I'm sure we all do it but why do we put ourselves through it.  My faith tells me to put my trust in the Lord and if its meant to be it will - I heard tell of a 49 year old giving birth to naturally conceived twins - so maybe there is a chance.

Omg what a ramble so sorry people just needed to spill lol!

Dawn put me down for 22nd November - lets see how many bfps we can get before 2009 - on your marks get set and........................GO!

    xx

Evening all, almost bedtime for DS and then an evening in alone for me to watch what I want and do what I want whilst DH is out with the lads, I like the odd Sat night in.. hope I can find a good film to watch with my bottle of vino!

Halloween was good i had 20 bags of scarey sweets ready and we managed to hand them all out so many neighbours came round.  DS opened the door with his outfit on so he felt like he was joining in with the older kids!

Think I'm comfort eating now it's cold - my jeans are tight after another large tea!!

Hope everyone is having a good time x

hi ladies, i dont seem to get on here as much as i used too, mind you its been busy here this week being half term, we had DF,s kids. I cant believe how cold its been, ice on the car in a morning and snow, and it was only the end of october, i think were in for a bad winter

selwyn at least your body seems to have setled down now, and i know what you mean about worrying, my DF has his own business and this year has been a real bad year although he did predict it at the start of the year before credit crunch was mentioned so we have had to be carefull, but it is a worry and he deals with all the finance side of the business too so he knows moreso how bad business is rather than his bro who is his partner. oh and as for the bahamas one of the instructors at the gym i used to go to has just gone to work over there for a few months, and no im not jealous

sheez good luck with the jiggying, how was the haloween party did ds scare anybody, we went to a party last haloween Df as dracula and i went as a devil woman it was very good and i was so chuffed with his painted face i did, my friend lent me a pair of thigh high pvc boots to wera but the heel was so high i couldnt walk, Df was well dissapointed i didnt wera them lol

sleepy great having you back, are you bug free yet? such a shame you had such a shít time with the rellies, were lucky really any rellies we have come over stay at parents house so we dont have to play host thank god, i cant be done with all the upheval and mess ( im a little house proud)

    sandrad hope your ok too

ill post the updated list on next post as this one is a tad long

Oh Sleepy - what's that saying ... 'you can choose your friends but not your relatives' - very true eh?  Mine aren't bad, but Steenie's sound mental and 2 pals have nutters for relies too - one pal's sister has chucked her 12 year old son out cos he reminds her of her ex-partner .. so he lives with his granny - how evil is that?  he's a nice lad considering he's 12 (and I'm not tollerant)... anyway just be relieved they are gone and enjoy the peace and put your feet up .. after you have made ghost costume obviously!

My DS is happy with his £6.99 poundstretcher horrid glow-in-the-dark skelaton, it'll scare the life out of his nursery pals, but hey ho, he's happy and he's stopped asked for a witches dress at last!

Can't remember anyones CD date, but for anyone on 2ww and get jigging anyone finished af .. I'm mid-cycle so best go and look for something that resembles cat-woman.. don't think my fluffy pyjamas really count (once described as an effective contraceptive) .

Really try hard girls this thread is to have 100% bfp by 01/01/2009 please - thanks

Hi Sleepy good to have you back - we've missed you too!  Sorry about your old ladies - your description made me think of James and the Giant Peach for some reason!  Perhaps its a good job they've gone before halloween - lol!  Talking of costumes the best one (and quickest - an hour before needed - lol) was black joggers and sweatshirt and masking tape bones - it was surprisingly effective!

    Happy Halloween to all.

Hi all. Sorry I've been a bit quiet - first of all we had all the germs in the world (and now have another bug, just can't get over one thing before another finds us ) and I've also had elderly (but not infirm) relatives visiting for the last few days. TBH I am livid with them - they have been selfish and treated me like a skivvy and I can't believe how I let myself be manipulated over plans, driven crazy with meeting their demands and have bitten my tongue so much it's bleeding and and ...ooooooh I think I'd better stop before I feel all cross again lol. They have gone now and I shan't be extending the invite again in a hurry. They can guilt -trip til the cows come home, but this visit has been a real eye-opener. My mum was wonderful when I rang her after they left - I also think she's relieved that I now understand what she's been going through for years. FAMILIES!

SANDRAD - so sorry hon. ((()))) I wish I had a magic wand for all of us - wouldn't that be wonderful, bfp's for the lot of us this next month - it would be so lovely to go into a due in forum, and moreover - to go with all of you.

SELWYN - sorry and ((()))) coming your way too hon. My cycle was a bit short again this month (ggggragh) but we're still quite close this month.

Hugs and to all of you lovely ladies - I have missed coming on to see how you all are.

LMAO at the costume chat . I think I'd be up for an old fashioned bathing tent to hide everything lol. I need to make something for Dominic too - oops. Oh yes, I have an excuse, demanding grumpy old women in my house for 3 days. Hmmmm, might have to a sheet-ghost then - with white paint for his face - and maybe a few old scars????

    TC all, XXXXX

Oh San - bad luck hen (as they say in Edinburgh) - but 2 more months of mega-trying in 2008, hope you are feeling OK.

I managed to 'seduce' DH last night - tee hee - he was pleasantly surprised , he's out tonight but will grab him again tomorrow - I enjoy the challenge. I've given up really so I'm just enjoying the jigs - I think I've removed the pressure off us so it's more natural.  2 years ago I was DEMANDING it on certain days.. and that didn't go down too well!!

Hope everyone else is jigging like bunnies and do share your wee ones halloween stories.. my DS hasn't a clue but keeps going on about ghosts & he wants to be a witch - errr I keep  saying that's for girls - but he still wants to be a purple witch.... his dad won't be happy

I trawled the city center shops and only managed to get a skelaton outfit for DS aged 5 that I can shorten.  But now I'm worried it may scare all the wee girls at his party on Friday and I'll be branded 'bad mum'.  Think I may go out to Tesco in an hour and see if there is anything nicer, like a wizard or a pumpkin.

Bad luck San sounds like it may be af but hope not.

to all - DS is trying to switch pc off so best go for now x

Got to laugh eh sandrad? Men only do one thing at a time and think its stressful!!! Argh.

Sorry theres signs of af approaching - theres always the chance its  implantation bleeding? Hope so hun - a BFP would be welcome round here!

Nothing to report here apart from the fact that I'm freezing!!! DD is all dressed up as a pumpkin today for her wee music class party and I'm getting things organised for her birthday on 11th! two years old - where did it go? Got to try and make a pingu cake - oh heck....................think I'll just make the figures for the top rather than a cake in the shape of pingu - thats toooooooo tricky!!!

Hope you are all well ladies! Group hug for warmth!!!

Hi Sheez - doesn't look likely now wiping red still clean pad though - its really  horrible being an almost old person - lol !!

If you still haven't got an outfit for ds Asda have some really cute ones!  I think you should go with the catwoman suit and purr for your man - I bet that will look and sound far more interesting than a lawn mower!!!

Ah Sel, you made me laugh.. but nice dreams are cool .. or hot if bahamas!

...and I agree it was flamin' chilly up here today ..brrr - hope the boiler doesn't play up this week!

I was so tired aftre first day back today and now frantically looking for a small halloween outfit for DS who suddenly has a party to go to on Friday and I have no time to make one now - after a few restful days at home when I could have - ahhhh

Keep those fingers crossed San - you never know ... and you were after an extra anniversary pressie weren't you?

I know there is no hope but I still intend to jump on DH later ...when we were looking for costumes for wee DS earlier we looked in Argos catalogue and they do a whole load of adult ones now - DH looked at the catwoman and wonderwoman ones and went coooerrr, now that would spice it up a bit ... but I'm not so sure how good I'd look in the outfits ... the sumo wrestler one looks more appealing to hide the post-DS flab!!!

Ho ho it made me chuckle though and I was pleased he even said it as I'm begining to think he thinks of jigging as a chore these days ... possibly less appealing than cutting the grass!!

Anyway back off to woolies website to look for halloween costumes .. tum tee tum,

    Catch ya later x

Can't believe how cold it is today brrrrrr! Got to go and do a building inspection outside this morning too - nice one!

Had a good chat with DP last night - told him I think I'll have a nervous breakdown at this rate! He thinks its not as bad as I do - but I'm the worrier / planner between us so it usually falls to me to sort stuff - he's pretty laid back. Helped to talk though. I don't really talk about the ttc pressure either as |I think I'd sound loopy. He knows its hard when af comes but thats about it. They've no idea!

So tired from all the stress though - oh for a break from it all! Where did that bahamas trip go? Oh yes - it was a dream!

Hi all, great to hear from you all again, sorry its not your month Selwyn but fingers crossed for a busy bd'ing month! Wish I could have a new kitchen, but we're in caretakers house so can't do anything like that

Well my af still hasn't  made a "proper" appearance - clean pads - but I'm sure full flow will resume as soon as possible - secretly hoping for a miracle but just know I'm heading for .

Anyway hugs to all - loads of babydust and buckets of luck coming atcha!

BOOOOO bad luck Selwyn re af - sorry she arrived, but if you are regular again then hopefully OVing regularly too.  Hope your dad's OK and what a pain about DH's business.. I can see why you are low .. you need some cheap treats to make you smile at times like these.. I buy myself flowers or a new top if I'm sad for a small lift.  My DH does contract work and will probably be out of work in 3 weeks, usually he gets another contract v quickly but he's a bit nervous now as there isn't much work around, so my optimism may be tested fully soon.

I was brought a bacon buttie in bed yesterday morning and a cuppa tea - my DH never does things like that so that was a real treat.. Iknow he was being nice as he was going out playing golf all day, but that and an extra hour in bed made me so happy.  We do grump a lot so it's nice to know he does care!

Dawn, I had a new kitchen 2 years ago and it was oh so shiney and new.. 2 years later the skirting boards are bashed from trucks but it still looks good - when it's tidy and 100 times better than the tiny one we had before!!

     to all x
