Well, as I'm doing IUI I don't have EC or ET. But what my acupuncturist did was placed needles according to the tie of my cycle. So, after the insemination, she placed them specifically to (hopefully) help implantation occur. Then yesterday, she placed them with the assumption that IUI has worked (we all know what assumption maes, eh?!
) so the aim is to keep the bean sticky. It's just a question of Tesco advertising really "Every Little Helps!" 9/7/08 14:13

Q- with your accupunture did you have some done around the time of egg collection and transfer i can ask my lady fri on my next app but just nice to see what others have done.

Im sure ur nervously anticipating Friday's results. I really feel for u right now. Hopefully..I have everything crossed.... it will be a BFP!!!
Just want u to know that were all here with cyber hugs no matter what the outcome. Try not to focus on symptoms. I sometimes think that some of us have been trying so long that we actually expect to get some form of the plague when we finally get our BFP's!!!

Hi ladies
Thank you so much for your support. Oh gosh, the pipette thing, so damn fiddly! I'm so not a morning person so that's going to be a nightmare to do! LOL! Boobs have started to get sore as usual pre-af so I'm pretty sure it'll be a bfn again. I just cannot be positive, I call it realism rather than negativity, lol!
Kitchen is all done and looking fab, sooo happy! No more take aways, woooohooo!
Had my 3rd acupuncture yesterday, Maggie says that my pulse responds really well to acupuncture and she's sure I'll get pg eventually, I don't know how my pulse is a sign of that but I'm rolling with it anyway, lol!
Right, I shall head off and try and do some work, concentrating on anything but this wait is so hard!

Woohoo the new kitchen and most importantly the dishwasher is in! I hope it is all finished off shortly and you can start cooking up some yummies.
Glad to hear everything went well and DH did a sterling job again. He must be getting a big head!! Only two days until you test. What the hell is a pipette HPT? Sounds all a bit complicated to me I manage to mess up on the normal ones he he!
Seriously though try and keep your chin up and be as positive as possible. I think the whole symptoms thing is horribly overrated and it is hit and miss. I have everything crossed for you and whilst I do not have the skill of Min to send you so much
and (my fingers get muddled up) I will send you a truck load and all the positive thoughts you need and more. I really hope this is your time. Jo

Hi JFC - keep positive hon!!! I know how hard the 2ww is, but everyone is really rooting for you. Everyone seems to have different symptoms when they get a BFP...some get lots of symptoms and others have none whatsoever, so you really cannot rely on them. Just keep thinking of the BFP that I'm sure will be coming your way.

Ah, thanks ladies!
I'm really not feeling much different to ususal. Boobs aren't sore really like they usually get before AF but that could be 'cos of the drugs, lol! Not got a single symptom, aaarrgggghhh! Oh well, not long left till I can get this out of the way. I wish I could be more positive but just not feeling it right now. I'm just grateful that I have yiou lovely ladies to be positive for me, lol!

We could do a count of all those with BFPs who had no symptoms and prove how common it is if you like. Its way too early to know so stop the negative thoughts. We will all keep positive for you and keep hoping there is a little embie snuggled in there.
I'm back in 3 weeks and I am really hoping, and I mean really really hoping, to come back to find the date of your early scan to see how many are tucked up in there.
Not sure which is the most effective so you had better have the lot

Oh man! This day next week I have to do the dreaded HPT. I wouldn't mind but I'll have to come to work straight after.
PLUS - did I tell you they gave me the cheapest possible test?!!! I have one of those pipette ones, wtf?!! I've never used one before, gawd 'elp me! LOL!Well, I can pretty much say with some degree of confidence that I'm not pg. I feel no different to normal.
I want to feel

Thanks Minnie! LOL! Yeah, totally bizarre! Not sure if she was trying to set a mood or what, lol! Was funny! DH didn't know what I was giggling for, bless him! Yup, on the 2ww, got to test on 11th July, so 9 more days!
Gynae spent longer on the insemination than the last one did, they seem to work differently. She had the lights off and her spotlight thingy shining there instead and she cleared CM first which the last one didn't do, not sure why they did it differntly but hey, maybe that'll be the key to a success!?!! Here's hoping!!
Oh tell me about it, new kitchen is such a breath of fresh air! I've been after a new one for 2 years, lol! And never had a dishwasher before (DH doesn't count as he had to be nagged, lol!) so I cannot wait to use that! My new toy, lol!
So, hurry along new sofa, once that's in I'll be happy as a pig in muck!

Awww JFC,
Ur little chinese lady putting on Mozart did make me chuckle too. I can understand exactly how bizarre u must have felt. I mean..the emotional feeling of going through treatment along with the non-elegant pose bearing all is enough for anyone. But Mozart too..think u held it together pretty well..i wud have probably had a fit of giggles and as trying to hold of laughter make it worse it wud have ended up being in fits of tears and laughter..as u say..not a good combination when u need to b calm and still
Glad ur kitchen is nearly done..a new kitchen is like a new life..well it was when we had ours done..especially getting a new DISHWASHER!!! I wasted so many hours of my life washing dishes!
Anyway..ur now on the 2ww i take it so here goes...

I've been so busy over the last 5 days with the whole kitchen fiasco so not been on-line until today. Back at work and kind of releived to be, lol!Well, everything went great on Friday, gynae said DH's sample was "pretty brilliant" so he was all chuffed with himself, pmsl! This gynae did thing a little differently but in a more thorough way iykwim?! I LOVED the nurse, little Chinese lady, she was so sweet! Put music on inthe background (Mozart) which made me chuckle, and chuckling with a full bladder and your legs in stirrups is not a good idea, lol!
Had my 2nd round of acupuncture yesterday, Maggie made me laugh as she was placing the needles 'cos she was saying "come on little eggy, settle in!" lol! She placed needles in places to try to help with implantation, assuming of course there's even a fretilized egg to be implanted! Fingers are firmly crossed here!
Kitchen is ALMOST done! Can you believe how long it's taken?!! It's only a small kitchen!! But the plumbing was a nightmare, plus as with most older properties the room isn't square which can make fitting units/worktop a bit of a mare! But all sorted now, just got the oven/hob being wired in today, then DH will plumb the dishwasher (yay!!!) and we can put the doors on. I'll be so glad when it's done! Got weverythig from the kitchen stored in tea chest boxes in the bedroom! It's amazing hiow much stuff you can have cramemd into your kitchen without realizing!
Anyway, hope everyone is well and I'll pop into other threads shortly to catch up! Got to catch up on some work at the mo, no rest for the wicked!
