Thanks hun!  Just got back from having the Pregnyl shot, owee, I'm sure it didn't sting that much last time! I'm such a wuss, lol!

So, got to be in for 9am tomorrow so DH can do the business, then my turn at 10.40am. I have to have a full bladder but the nurse said it doesn't have to be so full it hurts, lol! I laughed and said "good, 'cos last time I could barely move by the time they called me in!" LOL!

So, fingers and toes are firmly crossed for everything to go well tomorrow! xx

OK, well there's been a change of plan! The fertility nurse has just called. She says they had a meeting with another consultant at lunch time and after reviewing my notes he's decided my biggest follicle is rady to go! So he wants me in tomorrow for the trigger shot and then in on Fri for the insemination!!

I knew things were looking better this month, the follicles this time around are a good 4mm bigger than last month so I'm guessing the consultant has decided that waiting could result in missing ovulation and since my endo lining is nice and thick already it seems a good time to go for it! Woooohooooo! 2nd time round here I come!!!!

    Good morning ladies!

Right, well last night I had my 1st acupuncture session and it was just lovely! I felt very relaxed and very calm during and after. The lady, Maggie, is absolutely lovely and I feel really positive about treatment with her. I'm seeing her again next Tuesday for my next session.

Now, on to other news. This morning I had my follicle growth scan and I feel pretty damn chuffed tbh! I'm on cd10 and on the right ovary there are no dominating follicles, all small. On the left is another story! I have 1 follicle at 16mm, 1 at 15mm, and 1 at 11mm with more small ones as well. My endometrial lining is 8 and all of these numbers are better than last time! So today I have to start my OPKs and if I don't get a positive by Friday I'm in for another scan and trigger shot. If I do get a positive then I just call to let the nurse know and book in for insemination on Sat. Either way, Sat looks like D Day! I am sooo pleased!

So, please please throw as much spare babydust as you can manage my way, I'm feeling really positive this cycle and I would like all the help I can get, lol!

    Hiya!!

MrsC, I can't remember how much the acupuncture is, but I think the first session is £45 and the erst afterwards are less, I'll let you know after I've been tomorrow, lol! You'd think I'd find out this info before booking right?! My boss told me he thinks acupuncture is very good, even though he doesn't believe in all that "mumbo jumbo" pmsl! He thinks it'll work for my back pain for sure. So if nothing else it may help that!

Jo - LMAO! I actually ordered my dishwasher on Friday as I couldn't wait! But the weekend was spent in Ikea pretty much, lol! Bought my kitchen so now just can't wait for this weekend for it to be fitted! Yay!!

I had told my brother we might be at the hosp Sat morning so my DH wouldn't be able to help him until we get back, and I forgot to tell him not to tell mum, so yesterday she says "you never told me you were going to the hosp on Sat!" - cat's out of the bag! Well it might not be Sat for the tadpoles to be put back, but if last cycle is anything to go by it will be as by cd12 they liked the look of everything and gave me the trigger shot and had the IUI on cd13. Reeeeaaally wishing I'd told my brother it was a secret, lol! Oh well, it's done now and I'll just have to deal with mum's constant fussing, lol.

But at least I'll have a shiny new kitchen so that's ok, lol!

How's everyone else doing?! Anything to report?! Sending to all as it's always good to have!

    Hi ladies!

Well, I haven't had the acupuncture yet, it's on Tues (24th) evening. I'm looking forward to it 'cos everyone says how relaxing it is!

Justy - the reason I decided to go for acupuncture is because I have a back problem that has plagued me since I was about 14yrs old. A muscle under my shoulder goes into spasm and that's me unable to move for a week at least! Conventional medicine can't help as it's not a spinal problem, and pyhsio only eases it, so after hearing so many ppl rave about it, I thought sod it, I'll give it a go and maybe kill 2 birds with 1 stone?!!

I went on the British Acupuncture Council website and found a lady nearby me who actually specializes in acupuncture to help with fertility treatment. I emailed her, explained my issues with my back and the IUI and she emailed back saying she thnks she can help, so I called and made the appt straight away.   I'll let you all know how it went goes week!

As for the new kitchen, well I cannot wait! BUT, I'm cautiously optimistic! I've been wanting this new klitchen for about 18mths but it's never happened, lol! This time my brother is coming up from Cornwall to help my DH fit it (brother's a builder, DH is a plumber), so fingers crossed this time I'll get it done for sure! It certainly will help me to get through the 2ww! I'll be so busy finding new places to store stuff, and I'll probably spend a lot of time just standing there admiring my shiny new kitchen, lol!

Better go and buy it then (it's from Ikea so I don't have to wait for delivery, lol)! Oh, and my dishwasher, woooohooooo! That's the best part!!! I've always wanted a dishwasher and I've now designed my new kitchen around installing a dishwasher, how sad is that?!!!!

    Hi JFC

It is going to be a busy month for you then with IUI and new kitchen. How exciting! Hopefully while you are reorganising all your cupboards etc it will help you through your 2ww.

How did the acupuncture go? I would love to try this but can not find anywhere here that do it. I found a reflexology place but when I went it did not look very clean and I could not make myself understood about the whole IVF thing so thought it best that I left it.

I do have a deal with DH though that I get a foot massage every night through each treatment. It is better than nothing and  I enjoy it!!

Good luck hun I really have everything crossed for you .

I agree with Kat - acupuncure is fab. I've been having it since November last year and I've got my next appt tomorrow evening. I feel so chilled afterwards.
