    Hi ray

I am on my 2ww to see if my FET has worked. We were very lucky and they all defrosted so now we have to wait and see.

You will be there yourself very soon now!

    Hi Ray

Glad to hear everything is going well.

I presume it is the stim drugs you will be taking I was on them for 14 days before egg collection but it just depends on how you respond to them. My Dr told me the average is 12 - 16 days then egg collection.

You will have regular scans during this time so they will keep an eye on how you are responding. If you respond too well they may coast you for a bit and if things are a bit slow they may well increase your dosage.

You are nearly onto the next stage, this is where it gets exciting and you see stuff start to happen.

Best of luck for your scan and take care

    Jo x

    Hello everyone,

Ray I have endo too which is why I started my IVF as soon after my op as possible too. I have heard that the success rates for endo are pretty good as it bypasses all of the problem areas.

Gemgilly that is great news about getting your appointment. What good timing! I am not having treatment through the NHS so am not too sure what the process is but thought I would wish you anyhow. Hopefully this is the start for you and you can get cracking as soon as possible.

Ray I am good thanks. I have my embryo transfer on Wednesday. I have 3 on ice so I am praying that at least one survives the thaw!

    and to everyone Jo x

    Hi GemGilly

My parnter and I have just started  IVF through the NHS. I was told there is only a 6 months waiting list at the moment but this is in Liverpool!!

We went along to a opening evening just explaining about IVF and ICIS. From this appointment to my first injection was about 6 weeks, They did rush me along because they found I had stage 4 endrometrois last year, so  they have been treating this for  6 months and I had my this period 3 weeks ago.

    Hope this makes sense,

    Luv Ray .xx

    I have a questionGemGilly

Hi ladies, sorry to gate crash your thread but I have a little question about starting IVF and was hoping someone on this thread could help. My DH and I are on the NHS IVF waiting list and I have just received my letter today from the NHS asking for me and DH to go along to the "assisted conception clinic" on wednesday 11th June! I am sooooo excited! Do any of you know roughly how long it will be from the appoinment until we get to start? We were originally going to try and save the money and go private as we didn' t think the NHS appointment would come through this quick. If we had gone private we would have been starting on cd21 which would have been 30th May. However, DH and I were struggling big time to get the moeny together and so we were going to cancel our appointment so this letter is the best news ever as I was getting really down about it!! Woo hoo! If anyone was lucky enough to have an IVF cycle on the NHS I would be really grateful if you could tell me how long you had to wait from the appointment until your first injection. Thanks girls x x

    Hi Ray

Glad to hear everything is going well and good luck for your scan on the 27th. Am I right in thinking you are doing the long protocol?

MrsC good luck for your upcoming treatment. Enjoy your holiday beforehand and your batteries will be recharged and ready to start when you get back.

Alison, congratulations, wow 40+5 you must be itching to hold your baby now. I hope everything goes really well. I am doing FET at the moment and am hoping to have my frosties back in 1-2 weeks. It is great to hear that it has worked for someone as all the stats are a bit doom and gloom.

Keep us updated on how you are doing Ray and glad to hear your DH is a pro at the jabs now.

    Hi,

First time on this forum. I've completed 3 cycles of IVF over 6 yeras, on my last one used a frosty. For us it's been a real roller coaster of emotions. I'm now 40 weeks plus 5 days and still can't beleive it's happening.

When we did the injections we chose a different place each time to inject and if like me you are sensitive to injections try some ice on the area first it really helps. I did bruise but they clear up quite quickly.

    Wishing you all the best..

Wishing you lots of luck. I am 5 weeks pregnant after our 1st IVF. The jabs are a bit of a hassle but so in a good cause. I'd suggest avoiding near your tummy button too. I always went about 2 inches in from my hip in line with my tummy button and pinched an inch to do the jab into. Nice and gentle, not to fast and not too slow

    Lots of luck!

Hello new to bounty site but thought I would give you all hope.

I am 15wks pregnant from IVF. We were very lucky as it our first cycle, had cell stage embies put back in  with no frosties for back up so to speak. I did my own jabs but the first one very nearly didn't happen I had to really psyche mt self up and it took 15mins of needle poised above my tummy. My advice if you are injecting in tummy is to keep away from belly button that is where mine stung the worse.

    Well good luck everyone

    Hi

Well done to you and your husband. That is great he can do them for you. Hope they are still going smoothly.

Jody congratulations on your twin boys. It is always lovely  and heartening to hear of people for whom IVF has been successful. Can I ask did you have FET at all?

Ray I had IVF in Feb which unfortunately resulted in a BFN. I am using my three frosties this month so am getting all excited again.

Good luck and this is a really good place to come if you need some advise of just a bit of support.

Hi i have had ivf three times now , third time lucky with twin boys who are 18 weeks old! I would say the injections are uncomfortable but not at all painfull , i used to inject in my leg at the top (thigh) rather than my stomach but it all depends what works well for you , and i alternated the leg each time . I truely wish you lots of luck , any other questions you have , i might be able to answer do ask , i know what an exciting but nerve racking time this is !  jody
