hey hun I know the feeling we decided we would have 2 close together as I am 38 well was 35 when I started thinking that I hadnt used any form of contraception since I had ds lol and thought it would be nice to have them close together but it hasnt worked out and almost all of the mums I was at antenatal class with have had another one some 2 so its relaly difficult to try and come to terms with the fact it just aint happening.

Decided me and dh would give it to the end of this year and if nothing then I am thinking about going back on pill or injections or steralised I mean I just cant go through this every month getting af when it is totally upsetting me and also everyone else.

Doesnt help when fil keeps going on and on about it and hey I just ignore the smarmy comments like we dont need any more grandchildren we have one of each I mean so what?  They never spend any amount of time with my ds anyway and now that sil and dn are moveing on Friday next week just round the corner albeit but they see her every day but cnt understand why my lo gets left out - he will be 4 in November so I really didnt want that much of an age gap and really dont want to give up but there is 6 yrs between me and my sis and it was hard going so I dont want the same for Thomas.

Wish I could have a fairy godmother or something who could magic up a baby or twins always wanted twin girls hehe!

Just found out on Wednesdyathat one of our best men is now going ot be a dad so just wonder if we are going to gt another chance to be parents again would be good.

Good luck with you trying to get them to take u on NHS you should be priority as you dont have a child together that is bad really the nhs is a joke!

Hugs, its really tough isnt it, theyve said we cant have 1 free go of ivf because i have a child, so regardless of whether my husband hasnt got a biological child or not they dont really care and i think its really unfair . We'll get there someday, my daughter alyssa turns 4 on june and nearly everyday she asks for a lil bro/sis and it breaks my heart. I too wanted them close together but sadly it hasnt worked out that way.x

I have also been trying for no2 but for 3 yrs and 1 month now.  I have had the HSG which is similar to lap and dye and my tubes were fine my dh got tested and both of us were fine just cannot explain why it isnt happening.

Next app at fertility clinic is 18th July but am cancelling this as they want us to go for IVF which we have to pay for and tbh cannot afford this.  The doctor says we already have a child together and they know we CAN have one so we wouldnt get this on the NHS.

So its made dh and me a bit down as we know I can get pg but dont know why it isnt happening so maybe one day it will happen.  Have just turned 38 in April so time is not on my side as I wanted to have them close together however ds is going to be 4 in November,

Will wait and see what happens next month.....fingers crossed x

It's amazing all the things that can help you concieve. We had also been trying for our 1st for over 4yrs before we eventually got pregnant with him.I then concieved naturally when Adam was 1 1/2 yrs old only to miscarry at 7 weeks. We were then put back on clomid 6 mths later. And we then fell pregnant with Ricky.I assume they have tried the lap and dye to see if everything is clear.I have also heard that this can help you concieve as it can clear your tubes. It's just so frustrating waiting for the right result every month only to be met with a huge dissapointment,it's a horrible feeling.I soooo hope it happens for you soon.xxx

Thanks hun, my friend recommended going to chinese remedy place as its for worked for her and her aunty after conceiving for a while and going for a spicy curry and a beer lol, anything is worth a try i guess but theres so many things ive heard that have worked for different people, some things sound so funny aswell. Will give this bicarb dousche a try this month, still have pre-seed left so will try that the following month. May also do accupuncture and look into stuff from the chinese remedy shop they do stuff for infertility.x

Hi hun, just wanted to say i remember exactly how you are feeling,we were ttc for 4 long years for our 1st, finally found out tubes were partially blocked, still put me on clomid which did nothing, even peed on a stick every day for 6 months and stuck it in a fertility monitor for Oxford uni to see if that would help but nothing. We got accepted for a go at IVF on NHS and was told it was a 5 year waiting list, we went private and were fantastically lucky to have twin boys on our first attempt which I NEVER thought would happen. Nhs is ridiculous as we were only on their list for 10 months and letter came through saying they were ready for us, lol after all the heartache they'd put us through!!! Obviously we didnt care cause I was already preg but its so unfair how they treat everyone. Big hugs hun, if you do need to go down the IVF route eventually it is hard but very very worth it and miracles can happen. Sam xxxx

Ahh right. It must be different depending on where you live then.I was allowed on it for 6mths i luckily never had to take it for the full 6mths though. But i was told 6mths on and a break of 4mths before trying it again.I was also offered injections and ivf if it wasn't succesful. But i would have got it free.It annoys me how depending on where you live is dependant upon what treatment they offer you.My hospital said they would try every method possible before giving up.We had unexplained fertility. Is that what they have told you also.{{{{{{{{{{{huge hugs}}}}}}}}}}} for you.It is sooo hard.xxx

I'm in the same boat aswell. We've been trying 3 1/2yrs now and are currently trying clomid. The docs have said our best bet is ivf with icsi which is even dearer. As i've got a dd who is nearly 7 we will have to pay for treatment. It's not fair as my husband hasn't got any children. I think that if there is a mediacl reason why you can't have children then you should bbe entitled to free treatment on nhs. I don't ovulate and haven't the whole time we have been trying and my husband has sluggish swimmers. It just makes me really angry !!!!!!!!!

Aww bless her. Yea we've been told iui/ivf is the best bet , ivf more as we've been trying for such a long time but it all costs money that we havent got to hand! I'm going to fight for our right for 1 free go at ivf as i think its very discriminating towards my husband whom has no biological children of his own!x

Hiya. Just wanted t say that it took us just over 3 and half years, I am now 21 weeks with no2 and believe me, there were plenty of times I thought it was never gonna happen, our dd is 4 and I had the same worries as you about her being in her own. We had all the tests done, 6 months of clomid, but nothing, and on paper we were "normal". Eventually, we decided to stack the credit cards and go private,at Bourne Hall, just outside Cambridge and thankfully, our second attempt at iui was successful and we are now expecting another little girl early Oct.

It does happen, eventually, I know we ended up paying for it, so the best things in life aren't actually free! But don't give up hope, I wish you lots of luck and success xx

    Hey,

I know how u feel hun, been trying for number 2 for over 3 years myself, my son turned 4 in march.

Have the Doctors offered u any treatment? i have pcos, and dh has low motility and they gave me metformin to regulate my cycles, and i've been given clomid to start next cycle.

I dont know what's worse hun, knowing u have a problem or not being given any reason as to why u can't conceive again,

keep ur chin up, u will get there .

    shell x
