    Hi ladies

Congrats to you all.   In 2005 my husband thought that I should try acupuncture for fertility so I did, not that we wanted a baby right then but for the furture.  After a few i felt that i was putting on weight so we did a preg test and I was pregnant but this was not due to the acupuncture I was already two months pregnant.  But I do have a question for you all did you have the tea?  I am thinking about trying acupuncture again as l I had a still born 15 Feb 2007 and would love to have another baby.

Success... I posted further down.. I had a mc end of November 07 and the did not manage to 'catch' again. Cycles were between 26 and 32 days (instead of my regular 2, but settled since May. In June I started acupuncture and last Friday (25.07) I got my BFP!! I still can not believe it - I so desperatly wanted to fall preggers all this time - and it is still early (3+5) as AF only due on Wednesday - but I so hope that I get my take home baby here....

This as a little encouragement to you all and yes, I do now think that acupuncture might really work!!!

Hi ladies, I've been trying for baby number 2 for two years.  I got caught 1st month with my son which I'm very grateful for.  If I never had anymore children I knew I was very lucky to have my son.  My doctor said that everything was fine and to keep trying.  I knew I wasn't feeling well.  Every month, two weeks after my period I would spot and feel terrible, cramps, moods etc.  I even asked my doctor to put me back on the pill as I felt so bad.  I decided to try accupunture as I was getting nowhere with my doctor.  I went for three months and I was told that my ying and ylang was both out of sync and that it was just a matter of time.  It regulated my cylces to 28 days and just made me feel better  I found it really relaxing.  Last month I was referred to the fertilty clinic and was told that I had suspected edometriosis and that I had a low fertility potential as my egg reserve is reduced (signs of pre-menopause which I have inherited from my mum).  I'm only 31.  I was also told that due to my reduced ovarian reserve I have only a small amount of time to get pregnant and I would need a lap and dye.  I was due to have the lap and dye op yestersday and had to cancel my op as I found out last week that I'm pregnant.

I'm sorry that this a long story but I just wanted to let you know that miracles can happen.  I know I have a long way to go but I  would definately recommend accupunture as I believe it helped me.

Sending you all lots of luck.

Are there any more stories around?  I've got my 2nd session booked for Wednesday.  I've heard of a couple of people now who were told they were to "Cold", I've been told I'm to "damp".  Any information welcome!

I believe accupuncture worked for me too. I was also taking clomid at the time I went for acupunture a couple of days before the hcg injection, I think the combo of the two worked for me. I also went a week or so after the injection my acupuncutrist believed if fertilisation had taken place she could help the little bean stick.

Let's all hope we have our acupuncture babies - I am full of hope too at the moment.

My acupuncturist said I was kidney yang deficient which means y uterus is too 'cold' to support the embryo - so she suggested me sitting with hot water bottle on my tummy! Guess what I am doing now

I have had a mmc end Nov 07 and have not yet been able to conceive again  - both previous pregnancies (I have one daughter) I 'caught' very quickly...

So I started acupuncture as well this cycle (had it on CD6 and CD13 and today CD20) and your story below has given me hope and I would be over the moon if this was my luckt cycle as well! to us and to you! xx

This thread has given me huge hope as last week I'd booked my first acupuncture appt, it's tomorrow evening and I can't wait! I found my therapist by looking on the British Acupuncture Council website and the lady I chose specializes in fertility issues.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you a very happy and healthy 8/9 months! You've really given us hope, thank you for sharing! xx

I went to the Remedy centre in Preston.  But I did a search on the internet for "acupuncture" and "fertility" and a site came up with all the registered practitoners who who specialise in that field.

Wow cloudrabbit you must be over the moon!! I have been ttcing for 2 years and went to my first acu session this morning - loved it. Did they tell you what was wrong - apparently I am mildly kidney yang deficient and she has told me to add extra warmth to my food groups. She reckons she can treat it quite quickly. I am very excited about it all!!

Apparrently by not having anough warmth, my uterus is too 'cold' to accept an embryo, so she focussed on warming it.... it is also reason why my luteal phase seems to be too short - she reckons she can fix that. I pary to god she can!!

    Where did you go to?

No.  My acupuncturist said it's best to stop treatment now pregnant, unless I'm getting too anxious about things.

My philosophy was, that it can't do any harm if it doesn't do any good.  I have been literally shocked by the speedy outcome.

I just wanted to let people know that this really works.

We have been TTC for 3 years (I miscarried 15 months ago at 8 weeks). We have had all the fertility tests and were both ok, but I just wasn't getting pregnant.

I turned to acupuncture after it worked for a friend of mine.  I have had two treatments and am pregnant.  I am absolutely terrified after the mc last year, but it worked and I am praying that everything works out this time.

To all those out there who are giving up hope.  A month ago I was feeling exactly the same - please give it a try.
