Well I went for my blood test and baseline scan yesterday and I have been given the go ahead to start stimming, yey! I did my first injection last night along with a lower dose of Buserelin. My dh and I are over the moon and are both pleased we have got over the first hurdle without a hitch!
My next scan is on Wednesday next week and then I will have another the following Friday. I am really pleased things are moving along nicely.
Thank you for all your good luck wishes girls. I will keep you all posted with my progress.

Hi Gil - It's so nice to hear from you! Wow a 28 day cycle, they do say that when you stop trying everything starts to fall into place and they couldn't be more right could they! That's brilliant news and I hope you get your BFP one day soon. Please pop in from time to time as it will be nice to hear from you.

Well I feel like absolute cr@p today! I woke up with a headache this morning and it has not let up all day. To boot I feel sick and my tummy is cramping for fun which is a sure sign that my AF is on its way...I just wish it would show up now!!!!

I'm supposed to be going out with my friends tonight for my friends birthday but all I wanna do is finish work and go to bed.

Sorry to grumble, I know it's going to be worth it in the long run! x x

Yey - My consultants secretary has finally called me this evening to tell me my scan dates. My first scan will be wednesday 9th July at 1.45pm. I also have to go for a blood test at 9am that morning. The time is flying by! I just need my AF to show up now!

Hi Ladies,
My injections are going well. I managed to inject last night without any bruising so thats good. I've been chasing my consultants secretary for my scan dates but she just isn't calling me back which is really frustrating. As soon as I get my date I will let you know.
My AF was supposed to turn up yesterday according to my normal cycle but it's nowhere to be seen today! Bloomin typical! I usually have a 24 day cycle which is quite short I know but it used to be a 28 day cycle but the two IUI attmepts has tricked my body big time. Does anyone know if my AF should be later than normal?

Ray133 - Congratulations! That's brilliant news! Please let us know how you get on. Could it be a multiple pregnancy?!??!?!

Em265 - Thank you! doing the injections makes it seem so real!
MrsC30 - I have been experiencing the itchy rash too. Good luck with your baseline scan. Let us know how you do! How exciting. Sending you lots of luck...

Hi GemGilly
I woudnt worry to much about the bruising, my stomach was different colours at one point with the injections (this is normal). My hospital told me I could only inject into my stomach, so at least you have the option.
Iv just finished my IVF treatment, I did my preg test on Friday and it was positive. Im still in shock
Good luck with everything.

CD24 today and I am still feeling really positive. I have managed 3 injections so far. The first injection was fine but the following two have left my tummy bruised. I am going to speak to my consultant on Monday to see if I am doing something wrong or if that's just a side effect. Has any body else experienced bruising? I know when I injected in the leg it was fine so maybe I will go back to that? Also each time I have bled a little......actually thinking about it I think I should defo go back to injecting in the leg!
Jo and MrsC - Hope you are doing better than me injecton wise!!

Woo Hoo, you have now officially started!!!!!!
It sounds like there is a lot more involved, more injections etc..., so really hoping they are not too bad for you.
Good luck as always, Emma xxx

Hi Girls
Well I managed to get through my first injection today without a hitch although my tummy now feels really itchy and I have a little red blotchy rash. I am useless at getting the solution into the syringe without any air bubbles so my dh does that part and then hands me the needle for the horrible injection Our journey has now officialy begun.
DH is off out for the night with a few buddies and I'm going to put my feet up and watch E! which by the way I am addicted to!
Hi Jo, thanks for the good luck wishes. I have been onto your diary and had a look at your lists. I am kinda guided by our consultant who suggests Blastocyst so we are just going along with it although after reading your list I feel much more informed. Its amazing how much we all learn from each other rather than from our consultants! Scary actaully!
Sending lots of baby dust your way and I will keep popping into your diary to see how you are getting on. Looks like you, me and Mrs C are pretty much all on the same cycle. Although I have no idea what long or short protocol is. That's something else my consultant hasn't explained!

26/6/08 12:10
Sorry I forgot to say we are also doing ICSI with blastocyst. It is basically where they culture the embryos for longer and instead of putting back a 3 day embryo they will put a 5 or 6 day embryo. There are positives and negatives for both but I am hopeful that blasts will be the key to success. If you look on my My ICSI diary I wrote a list of positives and negatives a while back which you may find interesting. Probably about the beginning of June (ish)
I also had 3 put back on my first cycle and 3 on my frozen cycle. Sounds as though our cycles are going to be pretty similar. I start in 2 weeks on the short protocol.

That is great news for you, I soooo hope everything works for you,I'll be popping in now to see how you're getting on, all my fingers toes and anything else I can think of crossed for you!
I still keep in touch with Lambkin and Minnimemma on our little Iui bump buddy thread! I'm 25 weeks now, scary isn't it! I'm getting big and achy but all good! We're having another little girl and I thank my lucky stars that everything is going well.
I wish you lots of luck and are sending huge buckets of babydust xxx
