    hi girls

i promised i'd post and let you know.

    we got our results back

the HSG showed my tubes were clear, hubbys motility was a bit off but he was getting a cold when he did his test so has to retest in 3 months, the progesterone levels came back a little low but apparently their within the limits and the other bloods were ok BUT the transvagina showed that i have a poly cystic ovary its my left one. they've now given me 3 months of clomid 50mg and i go back in 3 months for a check up.

thanks for your support ladies, hope your getting all your results soon and i'll keep checking here for your results too xxxx

good luck with your bloods EKCarroll

i've got 2 have 3 blood tests besides checking for PCOS. they think my progesterone is low so i need to have cd21, cd25 and cd28 to check its rising. they might find yours is low or normal with your cd21.

hope it all goes well i'll keep you informed how i get on. i've not asked for my results i'm waiting for my follow up appoint on 13th aug to get all our results back in one go.

Forgot to mention, i had one set of bloods done back in Jan i think it was, then my full 21 day bloods done in May, sayin i ov ok, then that's when i got refered to the gyne. Maybe different areas do things differently

Thanks for checking for how i got on, its nice theres people that care!!!!

Antibiotics weren't mentioned at all, i was told i might get some spotting but its definately been more than spotting. Seems to be slowing down though, no cramps just an uncomfortable feeling.

Once i've had my bloods done then the consultant will write to me to tell me the next stage. I have a feeling if the bloods confirm i've ovulated we'll be told to leave it another 6mths and hope for that elusive bfp!!!

I'm on CD11 and due to ovulate next tuesday so will hopefully get back to bd'ing on sunday

Ooo i hate bounty sometimes, i just wrote a load a stuff then went to open a new tag so i could check some stuff to carry on writing, but clicked back by accident, which then removed the stuff id written , so here goes again grrr!

Sian, i am so happy for you that every thing went well for your scan, maybe i should have really dosed myself up! When do you find out what happens next, will they tell you when you go for the results from your bloods? Tho you never know, you could be really lucky and get your bfp very soon, following such a successful scan

K, do you know what happens for you next? I'm sure i read somewhere about an op for PCOS? Were you or Sian hun, given any antibotics? They were mentioned to me, i was even asked if i had been given any prior to the scan. But in all the fuss afterwards it wasn't mentioned again Unless it didn't matter with only part of the procedure happening

Anyway will be back later, was ment to be a flyin visit to see how Sian got on! lol will be back later after tea have dh and dogs naggin for their tea lol

    Hi,

I had mine done last Wed, i too got bad cramps after and when i wiped the liquid away i had some blood on the tissue, the following day i was ok, but the day after that the bleeding started again and i had some cramping too, i thought af had come early.   I was told after the procedure that i had pcos, that explained alot as were cycles were getting further and further apart, but today i'm on cd25 and getting alot of cramps, so i'm guessing that my af is on it's way, maybe the flush out did work.

I was also told that afterwards it was possible to get an infection, so maybe waiting a few days is best before bd'ing.

Well, luckily it was all fine. I got bad cramps while the dye was going in but it lasted about 20secs and was bearable. Had some bad crapms since and quite a bit of bleeding but seems to be slowing down now

My consultant was actually doing it so he was able to tell me that my tubes are all clear and fine, i could see it on the screen aswell.

Got my 21day bloods on the 4th aug so will then have another appointment to see whats next

Thanks for everyones advice, fingers crossed for some bfps!!!!

    hi ladies

i had a HSG last week it was painful at the time with sharp stabbing pains and i bled brown spotting for 3 days but it was fine. i didn't get my results straight away as the paperwork states that they send it to consultant to read clearly so i get my results on 13th aug. got a transvagina scan next wednesday aswell. hope it wasn't too bad for you this morning

is anyone having blood tests too? mine are testing for progesterone levels and if i've got signs of PCOS.

hope all are well and get bfp's soon xxx

I'm sorry it didn't go too well, hopefully you won't have to wait too long for a laparoscopy

i've got a huge tin of painkillers which i'm planning on taking several of about 1hr before hand, so hopefully.

Whenever i've had smears done they've always struggled as i have a titled cervix, hoping thats not going to cause a problem tomorrow

Its at 8.45 so at least i won't be hanging around!!!!!!

Sorry hun, i'll try that again, i think you just got to think about the fact that you will get some answers and that you then know where you stand and you never know, you could even just have the flushing out that may be needed for that soon to be bfp.

Again, take care and good luck, and let me know how you get on.

Hi hun, well things didn't go so well for me They tried their best, but i was just to tight, they got the clamps and things in place eventually, tho that was quite painful, they put some of the fluid in, but the catheter just would not go, they even tried a smaller size, but no luck. So they are going to write back to my gyne and i have to have key hole done instead.

I'm sure yours will be just fine hun, please don't take my experience as typical, as everyone else seems to have been ok with their procedure,  from what i've read, i would defo recomend taking a cart load of whatever you can get your hands on to help you relax and pain killers, but then i think i may just have a very low pain thresh hold.

    Good luck for tomorrow hun.

I'm starting to dread mine, not the actual procedure itself but finding out that something is wrong. Not sure how i'll deal with that??!!!

Oh goodness hunnie you have certainly been through it a bit hun (((((hugs))))).

Our age gaps are the same with oh's though i'm 28 and dh is 38. Been ttc now for 17 months since valentines day 07.

I am going to be on about cd 30, i couldn't understand their reasoning, so it has been pretty much free since before last cycle tho we did try it but on the pull out message . Tho the doctors said i just need to take a test before the HSG.

Lets hope it works for us, maybe we'll both be in a DI thread soon.

    Yeah definately!!!!

I'll introduce myself, i'm Sian and i'm 33. My dp is 43, i have a dd who is 5 from my ex. We've been trying since nov 06 with a mc April 07, all bloods etc have come back fine. Had first consultant appointment today and was lucky to get booked in for HSG next friday just in time for ovulation. Really didn't want to wait another cycle!!!!

I've heard lots of stories where women have gotton pg after having it done but trying not  to get my hopes up!!!!

Hi hun, can we be HSG buddies, i've got mine on Thursday. I know just how ya feel, there is so much different information and feedback, by the sounds of it it can vary from person to person and hospital to hospital.

    Good luck by the way,

    Elena

Thanks for replying ladies, my consultant said that the nurses can always tell which women have had painkillers so i think i'll dose myself up!!!!

I'm hoping as i'll be CD11 that we'll be able to bd from the next day. Was supposed to be going away for weekend (without dp!!) and have now changed the date i go, to make the most of it. How sad is that!!!!!
