We are in same boat but live in north - west so it may be different in ur area. We are on IVF waiting list also due to male factor probs. We got a pack from the hospital containing lots of info and a slip that we had to return in a SAE. They then sent us the slip back saying that we are on the waiting list from 29th Sep 2007. Our list is 2-3 yrs long so we dont know where abouts we are on it. i have been told that when u reach top they will send u a letter inviting us to a discussion with other couples about the treatment. I presume then we just wait till our turn.

Its a long and boring, frustrating wait but it does speed up over time.

Its difficult to know as there is different types of IVF, what sort of IVF are you having?  I had ICSI due to dh low sperm count.  I didn't have a scan in the beginning, what's the scan for?  Have you been waiting since NOV 07!!!?  Lisa

I have been to see the fertilty consultant at leighton hospital in Nov 07 he said we have to have ivf due to dh sperm had all the bloods etc done all ok

i rang his sec last week and was told we get a phone call in Nov so what happens after that can anyone tell me please as am new to this
