Hi thanks yes our ds is my dh but they have said we may have just got lucky that time. Think they just want to rule him our first before they start on me? We could get to the hospital within an hour from our house at a push but it is still the pot that is putting him off and having to make sure its done for a certain time.

Sorry to hear your dh is a bit nervous about the situation, my dp was exactly the same and eventually admitted that it was incase his swimmers weren't good and he would feel useless, and also the thought of having to go into a room and do it so if you can i would try and arrange to stay nearer the hospital at a hotel or b&b and see if you can get an early appointment to drop the sperm off then he can do it at the hotel and then drop it off at the hospital, as long as your there within the hour of producing it it will be fine, thats what we ended up doing.  Just phone the hospital and explain the situation and make sure this will be ok to drop it off instead.

I'm sure your dp will be fine its very hard for them in this situations but just give him plenty reassurance and talk it all through with him. you said you have a child already is it your dh's ( sorry) but you never said, it will maybe just take a bit longer ttc than last time.

Hi, my dh had his sperm tested and he did it at home, then took the pot into the hospital, just had to leave it there then go to docs to get results.  Good luck.

Hi we have been ttc our 2nd for nearly 1 year and the doctors have said they want to test dh sperm next month to see if all is ok. Only problem is dh has said he don't want to do it. I have told him everybody will be doing the same thing but he is put off by doing it at the hospital in a little room and doing it in a pot. Think its also a man thing that he thinks he isn't a man if they don't work.

Anybody had their dh sperm tested and is there any other way other than that way of doing it? Any help would be great.
