Hi i am also new to this sort of thing too but i have gone private this time and i have had IUI which was actually today... anyway  found a private clinic in yorkshire and booked an appointment myself without the gp knowing anything about it... however i did have to see my gp for a couple of things and she has suggested that if this does not work they will starting giving me clomid drug for a while then see how we get on...  so dont' really know enough about it all yet but hope that helps and good luck....

DH & I have been TTC for 14 months. Our GP has referred us to the infertility clinic. We have received a letter from them telling us the waiting list is 18 weeks to be seen - does anyone know about attending privately at this stage? (we live in Edinburgh).

My DH has a borderline low sperm count and some borderline abnormalities. My progesterone level D21 was normal.

Can anyone tell me what the next steps are? In fact I am interseted to hear any info  - GP was useless!
