Thanks for your replies ladies

Ling, I know what you mean about it not being that long and tbh if i were younger I probably wouldn't have even asked for referral yet but as I'm already 37 I was worried that if we had a problem by the time they figured it out I'd be too old to be considered for treatment. Guess I'm hoping that they either find nothing wrong and just send us on our way to carry on trying or that they find something that is easily fixed!
Scarlett, sorry to hear your treatment hasn't been successful but best of luck for the next attempt
. I've had a look at some of the diaries on here and it makes me feel quite guilty sometimes as I know others are in a much worse situation and that I am lucky to have the child I have. Might even follow Ling's suggestion and start my own diary after my appointment depending on what they say.Sjp, I'll let you know how I get on at my first appt - hope you get yours soon. I'm not looking forward to it at all but at least its a positive step towards that bfp!
Thank again
JO

Hi jo,
I'm really sorry to hear about your problems with ttc. But you really have come to the best place for support and advice. The girls on Bounty are brilliant. I'm sure they will help ypou along the way. I've been on here for about a year now and have had a number of failed ICSI attempts. I really don't know how I would ahve coped without the girls on here. I am hoping to go for our next attempt in December.
Anyway, just wanted to wish you lots of luck for your appointment - hopefully we can get you off this board as soon as possible (in the nicest possible way of course!!!!!) If you do end up having to go for IVF, it may be worth reading through some of the diaries on here. they will help you understand what the process is.
Good luck hun
Love and kisses,
Scarlett

Hi Jo,
Your story is similar to so many of us on here. I also have unexplained infertility - lots of tests but nothing really wrong. We've been ttc #1 ( trying to conceive our first) for nearly three years now and it really is a true emotional roller coaster.
We are just embarking on IVF too and I've found this site to be so helpful in terms of advice and support, hints and tips.
I think one of the key things is to accept your situation and dont get too stressed about it ( easier said than done - its taken me 3 years and I'm not good at relaxing!).
If I were you I would have a read around some of the diaries on here and get as much info as you can. You could perhaps start your own diary and girls will always chip in with hints and tips on how you are feeling and any suport.
Good luck with your initial appointments - I find writing down all th questions I have first realy helps.
14 months isnt really that long ( although it seems it when you are going through it ). So many girls on here have conceived naturally within 2 years and more, so try not to worry too much!
Ling xx

Hello lovely FT ladies
Hope you don't mind me moving over to join you. I'm Jo, I'm 37 and have a ds who is 12 from a previous relationship. Df is 33 and has no kids. We've been ttc for 14 months now and have had initial blood/semen analysis tests done at the Gp which were Ok apart from slightly low oestrogen for me and slightly high abnormal morphology for him which doc didn't think should be a problem
Tomorrow afternoon we have our first appointment with the consultant at the Centre for Life in Newcastle. Feeling a bit nervous and emotional about the whole thing but after reading some of your stories on here I guess I haven't really got a lot to complain about.
Is there anyone out there just starting out with FT who would like to be my buddy or could anyone who's been here before offer any advice? I'd really appreciate a bit of support

Thanks xxx

That's great news - good luck, let me know how you get on
My appt went eally well today - I've posted all the details on a new thread ;One step closer to Msjojo's bfp'
