im on erm cd 3-4 dunno lol but since i had a break im on hot flushes and its great when im not running after a toddler trying to sleep at night or hoovering the house im sweaty ! yuck !!
well im away from tom till thursday its going to be fab staying with our freind who can understand what im going through !! ( i will enjoy having a huge winge )
i have been pain free !! so i have nooo idea why it was this bad its not been that bad in yrs !! it really hurt !
well im off to attack the huge amount of ironing that has built up as since i didnt feel upto doing anything bar the bare min ive got loads to do !!

Well, I'm a full member of this club - today I took my first Clomid tablet lol.
Can one tablet really make me so moody and miserable???? Felt a bit like my PMT mood, but was gone by lunchtime. I also had a nap in the afternoon - gonna blame that on the Clomid too hehe

Ella's mum welcome to the forum. i'm 30 and am only my 3rd month of clomid but i've only been prescribed two more months then if we've not caught then were onto IUI as per our doctors information due to hubby's motility. i've got him on zinc tablets as we speak which makes his sperm more active. hubby's got to do another test before end of january to.
hope your all ok ladies. i'm on cd21 and doing ok as we speak had some trouble sleeping last night and woke up burning hot. really not enjoying the side effects of clomid i spend most of my days either tired or moody at the moment lol!!!

your best if you can go every 2 days and during your peak time go every other day that way it keeps the wrigglers fresh
the dosage depends on you but generally they prefer u to stay on a low dose unless there is a reason that the dosage will benifit u

hi ellas mum i can answer all of yoru questions but can you just throw me one at a time please ??
some doctors do say take clomid days 3-7 im on days 2-6 i dont think this makes much difference at all
remind me of the hsg but if i remeber rightly its where they check ur tubes there are 2 ways of doing this basically its to check you tubes are not blocked its nothing to worry about x but you are best taking pain killers before you go as it feels like exteemly bad period pains
take the clomid at night to miss the majority of the side effects
as per u going to other treatment faster i think its due to your age so they are going to press on faster with u so this is a good thing
im 27 and supposed to be a great age but i done thing so
( im in less pain now but still grumpy )

First time poster from the USA with some questions on Clomid, HSG and when to BD.
I just turned 41 and have a 27 month old daughter who was conceived naturally after 1 try. My husband and I have been trying for our 2nd child for 5 months with no luck so far. I have been tracking my cycle for 1 year and I am very regular with a 28 day cycle and a 4 day long period. I started using the OPK this month and it said I had 3 days of high fertility, 2 days of peak, and then one final high fertility. We had sex 5 out of these 6 days.
I have had a blood test to evaluate my LH, FSH, Prolactin and Thyroid and they all were fine. I had a transvaginal ultrasound to evaluate the uterus and my follicles and they were fine. Tiny fibroid in a spot that doc says will not interfere with getting pregnant or staying pregnant. I had two small follicles on my right ovary and 4 small follicles on the left. I went for the Serum Progesterone test yesterday on CD20 to determine if I have actually ovulated but don't know the results yet. My period will be due on the 28th and if it comes then the doc has given me the script to start taking Clomid on CD3 - 7 and also has given me the order to get an HSG done on CD 5 just after period ends. So my questions are:
- The clomid is for 100 MG but I see many of your are on 50 MG, why the difference?
- Doc said she recommends only 2 cycles of Clomid for me and then to go right to the Reproductive Endocrinologist for the injectable drug, or IUI due to my age. Are those of you who are doing many cycles of Clomid much younger?
- The HSG test scares me. What should I expect? Is it as awful as I think?
- How many times during your fertile period should you BD? We have had months were we do it every day for 7 days straight and then others where we only do it once or twice. My doc just recommended that we BD every other day from CD 10 through 20. Which seems odd because that would mean we would not be trying on the day before or after I ovulate (assuming my OV is on CD14) but would be doing it on day 10 and 18 and 20 which would be low fertility and highly unlikely to produce positive results.
- My DH and I do not normally have sex so our default would be to only have sex during this fertile period. However I have just read that prolonged periods without ejaculating could negatively affect the mobility of the sperm. So should we also be having sex in between the fertile periods? If so how often is optimum? I have also heard that having too much sex decreases the sperm count the next time (which is why doc suggested every other day during fertile period).
Ok, I know this is an insanely long post but I have not had any outlet to discuss this and am very confused. All the forums I have found locally seem so judgmental but yours seems very supportive with very knowledgeable members. Thanks so much in advance!!

cd20 so had a blood test today to check if i'm ov'in on the clomid. i'll ring the fertility clinic next tuesday to find out if i am! should be due next thurdsay/friday me thinks!!!
good luck on your clomid on the first month and let us know how your follicle tracking is going. i'm due to have it next month if af shows up!

Hi all, do you mind if I join you? I will be taking my first Clomid pill tomorrow and am feeling nervous/ sad/ excited about it - the whole TTC thing is an emotional rollercoaster isn't it?
I've been ttc#2 for 16months and a Lap & Dye discovered that my right tube is totally blocked (probably the result of my c-section). Consultant has decided to put me on Clomid so that I stand a chance of ov'g on my left side each month and to generally give things a boost.
I've read back over a few pages of posts - you sound like a very supportive group which is great. Sorry you are in so much pain sas - sounds horrid going through that whilst on a work course, I bet the day dragged for you
I'm also having follicle tracking, so I guess I'd better ring up and book myself in for that, although CD10 is a Saturday for me, so do you think they'll have me go in on the Friday or leave it until the Monday? Will I just have the one scan or will I have to go back a couple of times?

naddynads sorry to hear your tracking isn't going well this month and the follicle has shrunk. i find most medical professionals are a bit blunt but i suppose they can't get involved with every case.

i'm so tired we cleaned and gutted the kitchen last night and then i made tea so was ready to crash out. took me a long time to get to sleep last night just felt uncomfortable!

i know they can its just a job to them and they forget about our feelings so i really wouldnt hold it against them as they are busy concentrating and not realising whats comming out of there mouth hurts as they are not in our shoes xx

hun you could have just had a bad month but there is other treatment you can have along with clomid to make the eggs grow and pop xx

SAS i feel for u babes, my af is like that most months. chin up once u have follicle tracking it will make more sense. they should have done that from the start at least they know if u need any other treatment.

and as for me well cd15 went back to hospital this morning for my follicle tracking and i need some advice from you guys. 1st of all a trainee scanned me with the other nurse with her however she hurt me as she went to far in and tried to go from one side of my womb to the other so far up 'OUCH' I screamed, well i had a scan on monday and my follicle was 14mm and today it has shrunk it was bearly 12mm she said it hasnt done anything and shes going to scan me friday if nothing they she is going to 'ABORT' this months one..... am feeling as if im getting no information like whats next? why its smaller? are my chances any good? and not forgetting im on 100mg of clomid where as last time i was on 50mg of clomid and then got a cyst from it.
i dont get it, is it different every month?
i went to work all sad and wanted to cry, spoke to my mate who is expecting and my eyes started filling up..... HELP?

i've got my blood test on friday to check if i'm ov'in on the clomid which is good as i'd like to know the clomid is working for me.
i'm so sorry its not working on you honey i understand the disappointment and fear that you won't have another one. i'm worried like you and i've not had my 1st year and we've been at this over 3 years it just feels never ending xxxxx

well im currently in agony the witch has turned up with a vengance !! i have been in sooo much pain all day and stuck on a flippin course so couldnt access any pain killers all day ! its not been this bad in years !! even managed to go through my tampax right through to my jeans !! ( lucky no one could have noticed ! ) but honestly its being evil to me this month i have nooo idea either ! i havent even cryed yet as i have just totally given up and i mean totally just all numb with the thought of babys at the moment.
i really hope that you are all having a better time than me its been a long hard year so much so only 4 mths left and thats it but at least this month we will have folical tracking so we will have to see what happens but i really dont no how much longer i can to any of this for i need to move on no matter how much i want another little one to finish our family off

well i hate to disapoint but we moved last march and still no baby for us im on cd 28 and the witch is strting to show ugly mini signs only i know shes on her ugly way she can damm well have a break for 9 months after that she can do what she likes !!!!

Just a quick hello. Not been around because have moved house and have no internet at home yet, so just popped in quickly whilst at wok.
I think AF due today, very long cycle prob due to the month off. So can start clo again in next few days. New house, new baby! I hope.

4evahopeful - Thanks for the tip on the Zinc tablets. I never heard of that but will have my DH give it a try.
I'm on CD 23 and dying to take a pg test tomorrow morning but at only 51% detection rate I don't know if it is worth it to get myself depressed when/if it is negative. I will try to restrain myself until Thanksgiving - the day IT is due. This would be the best Thanksgiving ever if it came back as yes!
