    Babies grow too fast

I've started to get nervous!!! I'm 31+3, I'm going through all the what if's atm. I'll feel better when I get to 37 weeks.

We have so much going on atm, we are hoping to buy our first house. We have a mortgage agreed in principle and have secured a deposit. We will be viewing 5 houses tomorrow. I'm so anxious over all of this. We are so desperate to have our own home, we've been renting for s long and it costs us so much.

    Paula 31+3.

Mara, i can't believe Lorien is 2 weeks old already! It really does fly so quickly. Katie is 13 weeks tomorrow. I got her weighed yesterday and she's 12lb 10oz, bit of a difference from when she was first born at 7lb 4oz lol!! She doesn't look like a newborn anymore and i'm feeling really broody! No chance of anymore though unfortunately as DH would have to have a serious change of mind for that to happen! Thanks for the congrats to my friend. I met her DS for the first time yesterday, he's gorgeous and has a  thick head of dark hair and is soo cute and little (i don't think that helped with my broodiness!).

Anne, so lovely to hear from you, it just reinforces the fact that time goes so quickly when you say that Oliver is 4 1/2 months old! I too remember very clearly when you were waiting and waiting and waiting...... Have you moved abroad now? If so how did it go?

So, how many people are waiting now? I see from the due date list that oopydoofy was due on Monday. Any news? Labour vibes to all those who need them

    Sarah & Katie (12 weeks + 6 days) x

Hi Mara, congratulations on the arrival of Lorien!  Was she born in the daytime by any chance??? Oliver was too and he slept like a vampire as well.  My MW said babies born in the morning/day often do, as they are exhausted from the birth and sleep for the rest of the day and then are out of sync (jeg-lagged) for a while.  Oliver got gradually better and by 4 weeks I think he was more "normal" (he still wakes up 3 times each night, though!)

oh looby how awful for you and your little man glad they picked up on it early though and he is ok.

Annev 4 and a half months you have got to be kidding? i remember like yesterday you being due let alone overdue lol. gonna have to read back on this thread i think to bring back memories.

sarah congrats to your friend and born on my dh's birthday too dont think my little girl wanted to share her cake with her daddy and he has always nagged me for his birthday presents early so she is typical.

Well Lorien is two weeks old already cant believe how fast it goes wish i had more time for on here now yet back then i was fed up of posting about all my pregnancy ailments lmao. she is doing great i really cant complain at all...oh go on then she is a bit of a vampire sleeps allday and awake most the night now really need her to get out of that habit lol. other than that she is perfect in every way.

labour vibes to anyone waiting to pop.

Hi girls!   Glad to see this thread is still going stong!

Oliver is not 4 1/2 months and has cut his first tooth already!  It seems like yesterday I was sitting here being more and more desperately overdue, yet so many things have happened in the interim!

Good luck to all those still waiting!

well im bk from drs joshua has a strain of mrsa but not full blown mrsa he has the bacteria so have been given a cream and told to wash hands before and after touching him and hopefully that would do it. hopefully we have nipped it in the bud. he seems well enough just really worried about him

Hi Mara, glad to hear Lorien is doing well. My friend had a little boy on thursday, your due date, but unfortunately didn't get her hb as she had meconium in her waters, but baby is absolutely fine thank goodness.

hernebaylooby, i'm sure joshua will be fine, it doesn't sound like his cord is infected as it would be oozy and smelly if it was. Could just be that he had the bacteria on his skin but it's not got into his wound. Let us know how you get on at the Drs.

So, who's up next then? Dizzymoo, you're due soon aren't you unless you've already had baby and Sam, how are you doing?

Morning all, just wanted to send you all labour vibes to all those who need them.

Mara, i can't believe you're due tomorrow, it's gone soooo fast!! I can't wait to hear your news. Sounds like ti won't be too much longer for you now, good luck!I love it on here when we get close to due dates!!

I've got a friend who was due yesterday and is planning a hb and another friend had a little boy on monday night, so it's a very exciting week lol! It's also DH's birthday on friday and mine next monday!

Jen, lovely to hear from you, can't believe Kyle is 6 weeks already. Katie is 11 weeks tomorrow, she's growing up so fast and is such a smiley little girl and quite a chatterbox too lol!! Matthew is still brilliant with her and is currently obsessed with her hair and is a bit too forceful when he touches it! How are your 2 DD's with Kyle? Mind you they're a lot older than Matthew is aren't they?

    Good luck to everyone!

hiya ladies i am due on thursday 2 days to go yippeee! no signs though sadly had a false alarm yesterday dh wanted to call out the mw as my pains were 2 mins apart but i didnt want to as i was handling them and eventually i had a bath and they stopped lol.

i am having a sweep tommorow hoping it will do something as i dont fancy going 10 days overdue again i know i can turn down induction but as my babies have gotten bigger and my last one was 8lb3 at 39 weeks i am a bit dubious of going 14+ days over for the obvious reasons lol.

thanks for the vibes ladies i cant believe how old your bundles are already seems to have gone so fast.

just popping on to see how everyone is ..? cant believe joshua is 1 week old already   he's doing really well, he sleeps from 10.30pm - 7 am  ( woo hoo) althought im sure that will change lol. he has had a bit on trouble with feeds. sma gold kept coming bk up and he couldnt poo. so tried cow and gate but that came bk up straight away so now on sma purple refluxs milk and he's doing well he takes 3oz every 4 hours ( except in the morning and the last bottle before bed he does 5oz) it stays down and he now has that runny baby poo again ( sorry tmi) the only problem i have with the milk it doesnt mix well.  hope every one is ok and labour vibes to those that need them. xx

Thanks alot mara, my dd would have to go to a family friend which im very nervous about cause she isnt use to anyone else really, so it would be better doing it at home but i cant help feeling scared for some reason, another thing is if i tear again (which i most probably will) then il have to be transferred as the mw told me that most of the mw's prefer that the hospital dr's do the stitching and i just get put off by the thought of travelling after a tear iyswim so im really stuck at the moment on what to do, did you tear with any of yours? i have until monday to decide as the mw is coming to talk to me about it xxx

sweetie dont be scared to be honest your position is perfect for homebirth. exactly what help does your mum think you get in hospital to look after baby and your daughter from what i remember you are all alone in there and you will be seperated from your 22 month old?.

think of it in a positive light at home your daughter will be settled and in her own environment you will be more relaxed and know your surroundings. even when you are in hospital you have to come home at some point and if you are single you will have all the clearing up to do and things to sort out from your place being empty for a couple of days and thats if you stay in hospital.

my last one i had in hospital and i was on a 2 hour release as they had no ward beds so i still came home and had to carry on as normal i had no overnight stay i would have been better at home.

i think that  is so weird about the day and time of joshua's birth to lol im about to put my birth story up if anyone intrested. hope everyone is well and labour vibes to those that need them xxx
