Lins, hope the mw appointment went well today. I remember i measured about 3cms small by the end of my pg after measuring spot on and they never even commented on it!!

Mara, so pleased you had a good hospital appointment and that you're all on for your hb without a fight! How did it go with the mw? I can't believe it's going to be your turn soon!!

Jen, good to hear you and Kyle are doing well. I've actually found things are easier when DH is at work as you kind of have to get on with it lol!! I'm bf Katie on demand so it's hard to have a proper routine as such but i do have my routine for getting us all dressed and showered (me!) in the morning. I have to say it's not as hard having 2 as i thought it would be

Labour vibes to all those that are waiting and hope all bumps and babies are well. Sarah x

Hey Mara, sounds like a fab appt. really good you have a consultant that agrees with you and not one who tries to get you into hospital due to the slightest wee thing. Really good you feel comfortable with her.

Hope you are keeping well and really isn't long for you to go now.

Hope all the other ladies awaiting babies are well, and the new babies and mums are well too.

Baby Kyle and I are are still plodding along, with no real routine, but sure that will come once DH goes back to work LOL. DD1 starting P1 at school tomorrow so all very excited.

labour vibes to those that want them

hi all well blow me down had another positive appointment with the consultants!!!

went for a general review because i am measuring a bit bigger for dates (nothing compared to with dd2 last year) but mw wanted them to double check things before sorting out home visit e.t.c.

well the doc i saw was great she agreed with me that fundus could be big because of me and infact she has no concerns about me having a hb with a large baby because they wouldnt do anything special in hospital and shoulder dystocia is a small risk that is there for any woman regardless of babies size (finally a doc that feels the same as me). she assured me that although it would be a bit panicky if it did happen that the mw know what they are doing and there is nothing that couldnt be done in hospital that they couldnt do at home (i already knew that but they usually fob you off).

only thing she wants to check is fluid levels around baby which i already said will probably be high because all my children were expected to be huge and each time it was all water (comes to something when you have to have a 5th child for them to finally check for it!)

back in two weeks to see what the scan shows but even if water is high is i may have waters break early and baby may be early (hasnt happened in 4 pregnancies but oooookkkk lol) and i am at the midwife in the morning will keep you guys upated

Lindsay, good luck with mw, I hope all is ok with your placenta. I started to measure smaller towards the end as well even though baby wasn't engaging properly but I think he was just changing position. Hope that is all it is for you.

    Hi there!

Congratulations Jen and Jude on the birth of your boys.  Glad all is well with you both.

Its 3 weeks 3 days until my due date (8th Sept.).  That is unless the full moon gets me tonight!  Saw mw today and I am beginning to measure small again as I did with ds1 (my placenta failed then and so was induced) so she is keeping an eye on me before sending me for a growth scan - she thinks they were a bit too quick too intervene last time, so if I want my home birth we want to avoid growth scans!  BP was up today, a first for me, but nothing too concerning.  However, with that and the measurements, mw has told me to hold off on hiring my birthpool.  She is coming to see me at home on Wednesday to re-do BP and measurements.  She is also going to go through home birth pack and my birth plan.  It is getting very real now - still haven't got hardly anything organised!

Love, luck and labour vibes to all,

    Thanks for the congrats everyone.

Jen, glad to hear Kyle is doing so well. Bet you're tired with all the visitors. I have my mum here and have had friends pop round briefly but that's all so far as my family live miles away.

Ethan is also feeding really well. His first night was a little disturbed as he was sicking up stuff he'd swallowed inside me apparently - nothing of concern and not a lot of it but enough to bother him. Last night he had a feed and we put him in his bed at midnight. He then slept right through until 9am! Obviously we're not expecting that again tonight but what a nice treat for us last night!!!

Good luck to everyone still waiting - will keep coming on here to see how you're doing. Who is due soon?

    Love Jude x

    Congratulations Lu!

Will post more shortly but just wanted to let you all know that I had a wonderful home birth this afternoon! Will post my birth story when I'm a little less tired.

Ethan Harvey was born at 1.47pm today, in the bath!! He weighs 8lb 11oz and is really long at 60cm. We are both very well and all went very smoothly and quickly! He's gorgeous of course!!

well, after over 24 hrs from waters breaking nothing is progressing.  I have a very stubborn cervix that doesn't want to dilate past 3cm so I'm off into hospital now.  I'm a great believer that everything happens for a reason and while I'm disappointed I'm not getting a hb or a waterbirth I will be meeting my baby very soon.

I'll post on here with my news shortly
