Congratulations Lu!
Will post more shortly but just wanted to let you all know that I had a wonderful home birth this afternoon! Will post my birth story when I'm a little less tired.
Ethan Harvey was born at 1.47pm today, in the bath!! He weighs 8lb 11oz and is really long at 60cm. We are both very well and all went very smoothly and quickly! He's gorgeous of course!!

labour vibes on the way to you. There's still time. Sorry you're not going to get your hb Lu but as you say, you'll be meeting your baby very soon, hope it all goes well and is nice and quick for you.

well, after over 24 hrs from waters breaking nothing is progressing. I have a very stubborn cervix that doesn't want to dilate past 3cm so I'm off into hospital now. I'm a great believer that everything happens for a reason and while I'm disappointed I'm not getting a hb or a waterbirth I will be meeting my baby very soon.
I'll post on here with my news shortly

Hi Jude, I'm glad you're ok, i know its awful waiting, its like its never going to happen isnt it
especially when you are working to such a tight deadline!! lolI'm sure it will be ok, good things come to those who wait 
As soon as i got an induction date it got things moving, hopefully you wont be waiting that long

Lisa, I wish I had sneaked off and had my baby as getting really fed up now! 4 days overdue and worrying about being induced. I know it's not the end of the world but I'm just so worried about ending up on my own in hospital as there would be noone here to look after the boys. My mum's here at the moment hence disappearing since Wednesday! I need baby out soon so please send lots of labour vibes!!!

Hi ladies,
back in the land of the living LOL....... well kind of
I think Lucy was updating for me, but just wanted to pop on quickly to let you know I had my baby boy on 8th Aug at 01:26am, he is called Kyle and was 7lb 14oz at 39+3wks. Was just over 1hr of established labour, so pretty fast.
Good luck Lucy hope things are progresing well for you now your waters have gone.
Hope all the rest of you who are at your due date are going into labour.
I can now send all my labour vibes to you girls
Hope all the new babies are doing well.
We be on soon to give you the gorey details LOL.

hello all, I'm now 8 days overdue!! Tried to have a sweep yesterday but midwife couldn't reach my cervix, I've got another sweep booked for sunday 10th (hopefully with a long fingered midwife) and then induction is booked for Wednesday 13th. Really don't want to be induced so please send me lots of labour vibes so that this baby will come soon!. Thanks ladies, hopefully be posting my birth story soon!

Hi there everyone!
Thought I'd better start posting on this thread now (do post on other hb ones) as I am now just over 4 weeks off due date. Is it me or do second/subsequent pregnancies go faster than the first? This pregnancy seems to have zoomed by, and feels like only yesterday that we started telling people!
I am now 35+3 with lemon bump no 2 and was given the all clear by the consultant for hb at 32 weeks following a scan on my placenta to check function - it failed with my son and so was induced and didn't get my home birth. I now think that the consultant at the time was probably a little hasty, but I was more naieve then. Having said that, I had a fairly straight forward delivery with an excellent outcome and my little boy did look very wrinkled, as if he was overcooked!
Good luck Jen with the delivery. I hope your little one is well after the ibuprofen situation. Sending lots of labour vibes your way. Lots of labour vibes to you too Jude. I hope I don't go too overdue, but also don't want to go early either. Talk about having cake and eating it too!

Jen, thinking of you this afternoon and looking forward to hearing your news.
Lisa, this overdue thing is not fun! It feels like it could happen at any time but also like it could still be a long wait. I hope I'm not too overdue. Glad you're enjoying your little Jude so much - bet she's a right sweetie (especially with a name like Jude!).
Lu, how nice of the firemen! Sounds like lots of fun for your little Fireman Sam fan!

well I'm still niggling away, thats nearly a week of stop and start contractions, but as it's continuous something must be happening down there. The bloody show seems to have tapered off now though.
Just had the firefighters round in their big fire engine checking the gases are being stored correctly, they let my 4 year old ds play in the fire engine, it made his week!! he's fireman Sam daft.
How is everyone else feeling today?

OMG Jen, I'm soooooooo excited for you hun!!!!!!! You're going to have your little baby very soon!!! Good luck sweetie and i hope you have a speedy labour. Hope your baby is well too after the birth, i'm sure she (i think you're having a girl lol) will be. Can't wait to hear your news, will be popping on lots now today when i can and your birth story. Hi ladies,
just popping on for a quick update.
After saying yesterday the sweep hadn't worked, my waters went at lunchtime. (Thanks for updating Lucy
) Went in to be checked over at 4pm and was 2-3cm getting contractions every 15mins. But cervix still not thinning and contractions very mild. MW gave me another sweep and said best to go home until things get stronger - which I was very pleased about Anyway booked in to be induced today at 3pm if I don't go myself. Going to try to be as active as I can and get this going myself. Waters have almost stopped so not much left in there. Bump is tiny LOL.
Thanks for all the good wishes and labour vibes ladies.
I'll text Lucy with any news - although I think we are all due to go into labour at the sametime LOL.
Hope all goes well for the rest of you, any news for you yet Jude? Think you were due yesterday.

Hi Jude, how are you today? Your due date...no niggles or anything? All mine have been late too, 14 days, 4 days, 11 days and 11 days, absolute torture waiting so long! I hope your wait isn't too long. Labour vibes coming your way!!
My lil Jude is absolutely fine thanks, she's just fab!! I love her to bits and am treasuring every moment with her, she is my last so i am loving every 'baby' thing about her! Time flies by so quick , before i know it she will be running round wont she!?
