Thanks Mara and will do that for you. Same thing happened to me at the 20 week scan and i was really disappointed as we'd not found out with DS and i was really looking forward to finding out this time. So i talked DH into us having a private gender scan, a bit extravagant i know but it was good! Hope the rest of the scan went well.

all areas have to provide a service for homebirths morty. its your choice not theirs where give birth

HI, I'm new to this thread, I am due my first on October 24th and expecting a boy, I would really love a home birth but have only just started to look into it and wondered if anyone had any advice.
I spoke to my midwife briefly this morning on the telephone but she almost put me off saying, we can discuss that at around 34-weeks. What concerns me, is I really dont want her to say "we dont provide that service" so close to the due date as it may reduce my chances of somewhere / someone who will provide it for us.

hi, ive just got back from the midwife and i requested a home birth. im due on 28th sept and this is number 3, its taken me a while to decide to go for a home birth but now ive decided i feel good about it if a little nervous. Can you add me please? thanks, Laura xx

Oooh can I be added too please? I'm Aine and I'm due on 29th September with baby number one! (yellow bump)
Have told the 3 different midwives I've seen so far (grrrr) that I'm having a home birth but haven't had much in the way of support OR opposition! Am actually really excited about the birth!
