I was meant to be a homebirther but ended up being induced in hospital due to my waters breaking over 24 hours and my contractions not getting closer together and me not dialating. Ended up having gas and air and diamorphine as i was strapped up to monitors and flat on my back the whole time - something i was DESPERATE to avoid with having had SPD since 14 weeks. Went on my knnes leaning over the back of the bed for my pushing stage, only 15 mins of pushing for which i am eternally grateful to raspberry leaf tea...and Cai Michael Drury was born at 20.50 on 28th June, one day overdue, weighing 8lbs 7.5oz....

no tears or stitches, just the mother of all grazes which i swear hurt more.... all good now tho! 11 days old and bf'ing well. Waiting on the HV first visit to see if he's put on weight.... we think he has but i will be so so happy if she says it!

Anyone heard from Granny Weatherwax? She was due the same day as me.....

Sorry its late but I had my little man on the 13th June. His name is Jake and he weighed 7 pound 14 and half ounces. I had planned for a homebirth but had to be transferred to hospital as his head was too big for me to deliver.

I will try and do do my birth story soon but its been mad busy here.

Congrats to all the June mummy's as I've not been on much this month having a newborn etc!

Hi, I had my 2nd  planned homebirth on 8th June, where i had a beautiful baby girl called Isabella Louise weighing 6lb 5oz. She was 5 days late. It was a lovely experience first stage of labour was 2 hrs 40 mins and second stage was 5 mins. i was shopping at 4.30 p.m. and had her at 5.45 p.m. First midwife arrived at 5.20 p.m. and second midwife didn't make it in time.

Hi Ladies, sorry haven't been around for a while James is keeping us all busy - just to let you know James was 6lbs 6oz when he was born - although he was weighed at 9 days old at 7lbs 1oz (fatty eh) Im obviously producing the good stuff!
