ill be honest my dh loathed the idea when i mentioned it when expecting our 3rd child but by the last 10 weeks of pregnancy he had to admit defeat as i was still adamant and he has to respect my wishes. your husband has to respect yours its your choice where to give birth not his he isnt the one going to be going through labour and if he looks up the research on how much better off for mum and baby homebirth is he cant argue hospital is better for baby.

after my hb my dh became very pro homebirth most people who are against hb are scared and have no knowledge on it so arm yourself and never forget its your choice.

you dont want to be hoping baby comes fast enough so you dont go in because you will feel really uncomfy in the build up to labour you need to be able to prepare yourself and people need to support you so that when the time comes you will be fully relaxed and ready.

we are all here and if you or your dh have any questions regarding hb just ask there are many here who will be happy to answer.

    hi hun

it was my mw who suggested it at 11 weeks and dh just looked green and said no way it may sound really silly but hes 6 boys and this little one is a girl and hes already very protective i can see him being more against it because of this its silly really but hes wanted a girl for so long i dont think my feelings are in comparison

Hass your DH done any  research into homebirths? Thing is no matter what the babies presentation, if you aren't comfortable where you are birthing, it is going to affect your labour.

I think that somehow you are going to have to fid a way to explain that birthing in hospital makes yyou uncomfortable which in turn affects your labour which in turn has the poteential to cause you more chances of problems ie infections,  instrumental deliveries etc.

I know husbands want the best for their wives and babies and some simply don't realise that sometimes, the very best thing is as far awway from the technology as possible.

hiya hun im on my 5th too and liked you mine were all back to back except my 2nd (i would take b2b over normal anyday).

mine were labours of 6hrs. 1hr25mins(none b2b), 3hr 30min homebirth madam didnt turn in labour and came out facing me lol and 2hrs37mins.

my last one was in hospital and i ended up shoved into stirrups not good with spd i had her 12 months ago and still suffering. i am firm on having another homebirth and fingers crossed all looks good i expect baby will end up b2b again but i seem to manage fine with them you hear such horror stories with back to back but i have never needed much or any pain relief with mine.

    good luck with it all.
