i had blood in my show with my hb baby and was told it was perfectly normal and not to worry about it. was just as you described.

Well after i posted i went up for a lie down and mw rang to ask if the mw last night had done a swab. As she hadn't she's just popped out to do one now so there was no getting away from the blood as it was obvious on the swab and i thought i'd best mention it too. She also said it's perfectly normal and is a good sign that labour should be imminent.! Sarah x

Hi sarah hun,  Glad things finally look like they are moving along for you hun, as for the blood in the show i had that 2 with tony it was like someone had sneezed on the tissue with blood through it my mw said thats pretty normal, i think they tend to get you to go in if its lots of blood if you know what i mean. Also if you had it with last baby and all was fine id say its prob nothing to worry about. If you feel you need to let mw know then tell her but if i were you dont think id be worrying just yet, but only you can decide whats best hun. x

Hi all, following on from my post on the awaiting babies arrival thread, i've lost a lot of show over the last 12 hours - really snotty and gloopy stuff when i wipe. In the night i had a couple of occasions where there wereery slight streaks of blood then nothing. Just been to loo again and when i wiped there was lots more show but also a lot more blood and a tiny spot on my pad. I had a small bleed at the beginning of labour with DS and they immediately told me to go into hospital so as you can imaginei'm relectant to tell anyone this as i don't want to go into hospital as they're already talking of inducing me tomorrow morning. Had some mild odd contractions this morning but nothing to right home about so am already getting stressed that baby isn't going to come today anyway. What do you think i should do?
