Oh my God..it was amazing.  I started to labour at 11pm last night- was right in my pelvis and only for 30  seconds at a time but always close together and bearable.  At 2.30am woke Lee to tell him i thought something might be happening and went downstairs to go on the contraction timer website. around 3am phoned midwife and although the one i wanted was there she couldnt make it so said shed send someone called Kate who iv never even met before.....also I thought...  Anyway your not going to beleive this but Kate turned out to be the midwife who treated me horribly in the post natal ward with my first.!!!!  Recognised her right away!! told Lee after about an hour of her being in our house and  he was going to march up to her and tell her where to go but I said no as I thought it would be good therapy for me to get to know her (she still has no clue she was the horrible one!) anyway she turned out to be lovley so positive and respectful. Then Linda the mw i wanted for my first birth but was never around turned up so I was really pleased as always loved her!  contractions getting stronger now all in my back but didnt have any pain releif till 8cm where i started on gas and air.  Didnt fancy even trying my TENS my body was saying no its to artificial Lee was a much more effective pain relief he massaged my back so well.  Almost had bubs in the Bath but he wouldnt budge so ended up giving birth on the bathroom floor to my beautiful baby boy Jacob Charlie St John 7lbs 3oz this afternoon around 4.18 I think they have down as a 7 hr established labour exactly the sameas Mya and born 10 days early just like Mya!  I have my natal hypnotherapy cd to thank for my complete control throughout, I was never scared just lots of pain, it wasnt less painful then the first I just learned to cope with it 100 times better cant recommend it enough.  And mws so supportive and wonderful would recommend hb to anyone!!
