    Congratulations!!!

Well done on avoiding induction - labour may have been long and hard but imagine an induced labour.  I'm 100% sure you had a far better experience at home!

Try and find out about the midwife pager not working - it's not acceptable for her not to have got the message.

Congratulations again and enjoy your babymoon

Hi Guys, Hope you are all well.

Remember my post on Thursday night saying I was going to be induced on Friday at 10am and that I was resigned to the fact????

Weeeellllll  later that night I started getting contractions irregular but definate, so I called the hospital and said thanks but no thanks. Contractions carried on until at 12pm they suddenly stopped. Argghhhh! so I wiggled and walked etc ...nothing. Called community Midwife who popped round, did a sweep said I was ready but not dilated, she said she would like me to go to hospital to have bubs monitered and asked if I would like to be induced that evening or on Sat, Dh and I had had enough so we said we'll be induced that night at 8pm. As soon as the MW left I started getting massive contractions again. we called Ambulance control at 7.30 to get the midwife, called the hospital to say thanks again but no thanks. Something went wrong at ambulance control and the MW didn't get paged until 9.45!!! (waiting to hear what happened) and at 12:45, 2nd aug. my gorgeous baby boy was born weighing in at a whopping 9.6lbs. Labour was hard and long but none of the stress that I experienced with dd and ds, hypno Cd helped (Thanks again Sarah x ) in early stages and so did Tens.
