Hi hun, I had my homebirth 10 weeks ago!  I had plenty of old towels, a duvet on the floor covered by a tarpaulin and an old blanket, a bowl (I felt very sick) a shower curtain covering the sofa, a torch for stitches, and the usual labour bag and hospital bag packed and ready!  I also had a TENS machine for pain relief.  It's also helpful to have snacks tea and coffee available for the midwives.  Also check out www.homebirth.org.uk for lots of helpful info including a copy and paste birth plan tailored for homebirth.  HTH
