Most health authorities let you have a home birth from 37 weeks, but some say 38 weeks.

Thats strange, but then again, I only had my homebirth visit from the midwife to my home today, and I'm 38 wks on Saturday! So maybe they just reckon we'll not drop til we're after 38 wks!!! Mt midwife team do seem to be really laid back about everything!

Hi I was just wondering if this is the case everywhere. I'll be 37 weeks tomorrow and know that generally anything between 37 and 42 is classed as full term.
However my mw has said the team don't go on call for my home birth till the 22nd Aug when I'm 38 weeks - is this normal? I'm worried that knowing my luck I'll go into labour the day before 38 weeks and have to go into hospital
