Hi we've inflated ours for the mw to look at and just left it up - it only took five minutes to inflate tho but thought dp would appreciate less hassle on the day!  Also it just means he'll give it a bit of a top up if needed when I go into labour.  You don't inflate it till it's solid as once the waters in, the side plump up more - I love it - I just want in it now! x

Hey girls, I'm ordering La Bassine pretty soonish but just wondered if you were thinking of inflating them and leaving them up or inflating them once you've gone into labour (obviously you'll inflate them when it arrives to make sure its not faulty) Thanks! xXx

Good luck it's really exciting when it arrives although I'm now left looking at an empty inflated pool waiting for when I can get in!  x

Well i've had a look at most of the birthing pools all of which look fantastic but some are just too big for my little house lol. Me and Oh have picked out a pool that we both like, so its just a case of getting it delivered woohoo. xxxx

Sorry it was I've just logged back on.  We've got it set up now and it's nice but as someone else said there's also the pool in the box one from the goodbirth company (I think) and you can then look at the dimensions of both and see what you think x

Another you may want to consider is birthpool in a box, you could compare the measurements xx

Hi I've just bought the birthing pool from the www.madeinwater.co.uk website. It's a nice size, not too big and not too small and VERY comfy.  We tried it out last night and took 5 mins to inflate and 40 mins to fill.  My wee boy was in with his water wings so I know he'll love it as a pool afterwards!  It's a lovely pool and as it's see-through all the way round my midwife has said it's ideal - it's also good value for money.

    Hope this helps

    Julie xx

Im hoping to have a home birth along with a birthing pool, but my only concern is that my living room is quite small, can anyone recommend any good birthing pools. Thanks ladies. xx
