oh meant to say you can have one if you want.  You cannont be prevented, if all else fails you can just refuse to go to the hospital, even if they send you an ambulance you can just refuse to get in it.  obvs there is still a danger of scar rupture but as long as youo are aware of the signs it is up to you.

I am thinking about this.  I am annoyed because the midwife has put me under consultant care even though I have had one successful vbac.

I know dh isnt too keen so not sure wether to push for it.  Also really want a water birth but cant be bothered with sorting a pool out at homewhen the hospital has two.  Am thinking of just booking a homebirth and then making the decision when in labour.

Im sure its a possibility, and as youve had a vb, surely they would consider. They can transfer you to hospital if needed after all.

As you've already had a VBAC, I think it's a great idea! Why not? Labouring & childbirth is all about you - what you feel is right for you is generally right for the baby. Midwives who attend hb's are excellent at spotting any potential issues, and can deal with them appropriately.

You're an experienced Mum, obviously in tune with your body and your feelings, personally, if poss - I'd go for a HB every time!

Do let us know what you decide.

Has anyone ever had a homebirth after a c-section? I had a section with my dd an then I had a natura birth with my ds (I did have pain relief). I know my dh would not be happy if I wanted a homebirth but I thought I would just ask and see what other peoples opinions are. When I had my ds in hospital I was constantly monitered and ended up being in labour for over 24 hours and I think this was because I counldn't move around and do what I wanted. What are evryones views on this? Do you think it is a good idea?
