As you have probably seen from my other posts my name is Leanne and I live in Eastleigh.

I had a home birth with my 15 week old son Owen Lawrence and loved the experience. My only regret was not having someone at my home birth to do the practical things, like sterilise bottles, make sure towels were warmed etc. My partner had to do it which took him away from me and the arrival of our son. I know many people would have parents there to do that sort of things but there may be a few of you out there who can't have parents there for whatever reason. I have always wanted to be a midwife but obviously thats on hold now, but to help others I feel that I would like to offer a service where by if any of you would like or know of anybody who would like a home birth and to have that extra little bit of support to do the little things then I am here.

I would be prepared to meet before hand a few times of course so I wouldn't be a total stranger. Not only that but I would love others to have a great home birth experience like I did.

Just thought it would be worth a post on here. Not only that but if there are any of you out there who would like to talk about home birthing and hear another story (if you were like me I read loads but always wanted to hear more) then I am here too. I don't mind meeting like I said before and talking about my experience.

The Eastleigh Midwives are great too.
