    I'm getting a birth pool in a box. You can get a cover that keeps the heat in, other than that we'll just top up!

    It depends on the type of pool you get.

    We've gone for a heated one from birthworks - maintaining the temperature was one of my main concerns as I didnt really want people fussing about with pans etc. while I was in labour Plus the one we have is ready to go all the time which is a huge peace of mind for me

    If it's in your price range I'd go for a heated one. I haven't used one that isnt heated though so don't know if my concerns about maintaining the temperature being a faff are justified!?

    If you get a birth pool, how does the water stay warm? Is it heated or does it go cold?
