    Hello...

I found that after having my daughter at home the Midwives went straight to the bag for my clean clothes and baby stuff - saved trying to direct Midwives to various drawers, cupboards etc.

It was packed as though I would have been going to Hospital.

    Good luck

    Jen

Lol@ picking up size eight jeans bless him! I've packed a pair of leggings and a top, no chance of o/h picking out anything I don't want as I packed most of my normal clothes away cos I was sick of trying to get into things I couldn't first things in the mornings haha x x

i would recomend having one!  I got transfered last time and my bag had been unpacked a bit.  Ment that although baby was ok I came home in my nightie with my slippers...no bra...no trousers...no hair brush....ok so I didn't really care at that point but still!  Yes your hubby can go and get things but one of my friends ended up with a pair of size 8 jeans she hadn't worn in years and some thongs!

So much easier to have a bag that doesn't get touched and can then just be grabbed if needed.

i packed a hospital bag with beby stuff and essentials for me. planning a home birth so all that stuff is out too. if i'm transfered part way through i'll have essentials and DH can bring the rest later. If i need to go in planned (which is looking likely seeing as im a week over due) i'll repack with more thought to spending time there. xx

Im just in the process of packing mine. Im packing what Id normally need if I went into hospital,

toiletry bag, maternity pads, knickers,  for labour and clean Pjs for after labour ,and basic  baby stuff, couple of nappies, vest, sleep suit, and Im going to leave it by the door so we can grab if needed. Although Im not calling it my hospital bag, Ive called it my " birthing Bag" just to put a more positive title to it as Im really wanting a home birth I think If I get transfered then OH can grab anything else I might need if I need to stay for any reason

I also brought some empty toiletry bottles ( travel  bottles ) from home bargins I think they were from, 1.50 for 4 bottles and just filled them up with what I have at home x

    HTH xx
