hi ladies hope you are all well, sallyanne glad you are ok are you fed up yet, it hurts everywhere doesnt it?
Kate hope you are feeling abit better, did you get the teats sorted, we have just changed bottles again!! hv came yesterday and told us to try dr browns as we had tommee tippee and the twins have got wind and coilic, so we brought tommee tippee then special care told us to get cheap with latex teats cause they were easier to suck with them being prem then the wind was bad so started the tt ones and they were fine at 1st then we have been yesterday to try the dr browns ones and they are good so we went and brought more today and next size up teats another £50!! you cant move in my kitchen for bottles and teats!!
Julie and charlie hope you and your little ones are well, its hard to find the time to get on here isnt it.
the hv came yesterday to weigh the twins mabel is now 6lb 14 and emerson is 7lb 10, he is a little chubby, he is on the 75th centile and mabel on the 50th though he has got a big head and they have got to keep an eye on the growth which is abit worrying but she did say that as dh is 6ft 4 it might be that he is going to be big and tall. i cant believe that tey are 6 wks already, will try and post some pics.

Hi guys. Sounds like the babies are all doing well. Sorry not been on but my computer chair so hurts my back so I have been staying off it. Just thought Id let you all know I am still waiting!!!!! But will let you all know as soon as anything happens. Take care. X X X

Morning all!
I am up and downstairs after tiredness and hormones caused a little row with DH and felt need to get away... i know its my hormones over reacting to everything but cant help myself but get upset at slightest thing and feel as though i am being criticised.. his tiredness during night feeds reduces his tolerance too... however i was up at 2 sorting out bottles and teats to be sterilized as poppy cannot manage them all and ends up sucking for hours with nowt coming through.. DH decided she likes this one teat and got her that.. she was going for 45 mins with nothng bless her... so i didnt bother re sterilizing it, just put in ones i knew have been ok so far.. then she woke us at half 4 and dh went to get a bottle and then had a go for me ot putting these other teats in as he wanted to try them again????????????? I just lost it and told him i dont wanna try anything in middle of night and if he wants to he can do it in day.. personally i want her to have her milk!!!!!!!! And she did manage with teats that were there...
A ridiculous argument but left me in floods of tears feeling like he thinks i am a crap mum..........
Sorry for that but wanted to get out my system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway... how are you all doing?? How is everyone settling in routines...??
Jue - your dh is back to work now snt he.. despite above i am a little terrified about coping alone??????????

Sallyanne... how you feeling.. cant wait for your turn now!!!!!!!!! it wasnt your scan this week was it - am i right in thinking its next week??
Other than above and hormones i think we are getting there... tired obviously and i am still a bit sore.. more so at night and evening, and struggle sitting down and being comfy - bit of a prob when it comes to feeds!! And hormones are everywhere... never cried so much in all my life!!! However i love those girls with all my heart and am beginning to relax a bit more so getting more that an hours sleep at a time now! DH and mum have been great (Dh generally) and helping out loads!! We went out for first time yesterday and got stopped loads!!!!!!
Mw is coming today for 10 day check.. not sure what happens?? Hoping she will weigh them again.. they had only lost small amount on Monday so that was good! Ruby feeds loads so sure she must have gained!!!! Am also planning on attemptin bathing them today, mum has done it so far as i have been restricted physically!!!
Anyway - i am gonna post a link to some pics of the girls after this..

julie a big congratulations and what big weights, glad you are home and doing well, hope you dont feel too tired!!
Charlie, we used infacol and now we use dentinox because you can put it straight in the bottles it is working so far, emerson had blood in his poo as he was straining to go and he was constipated, cooled boiled water did the trick or if that doesnt work the hv said to add half a teaspoon of apple juice to the water hth. hope you are all ok, take care .

Julie Congratulations, what lovely names and good weights.
Thought I would pop on while expressing and see how everyone is.
I love been mummy and just love my boys more than i can ever imagine. Phoned the doc last night as Jensen had a bit of blood in with his poo. I felt sick to the bottom of my stomach. He's a bit constipated so thats what the doc thinks it is but the widwife is due round later thank god so it will be good to get a second opinion.
I will get dh to post some piccies later.

hi girls just a quick message to say. its all over and i am home with my two bundles of joy.
Charlie Patton arrived at 15.30 weighing 7.9lbs and Rebecca Patton 12 mins later weighing 6.14lbs. they are both perfect and are very settled t the minute so long may it last.
went in on thurs morning and had waters broke at 10am, was 5 cms dilated and drip put up to start contractions and they started aat 12. had epidural connected in case i needed it but whne i actually did want it the stupid thing didnt work. they re inserted it 3 times but still no relief so i delivered them both on gas and air and all i can say is it was terrible but am so pleased i managed on my own. had no stitches so was able to leave hospital yest at 130.
lovely to be home but i am a bit emotional just with the tiredness. twins jst feedining and sleeping at min although lst night was bad cause they fed at diff times and where harder to settle. just hoping its first night home stuff nothing else.
can not believe its all over but am soooo pleased to be able to breathe agan

Thanks Jue, you poor thing getting matisis I have heard it is very nasty.
I am not finding the 3 hourly feeds to bad at the moment as they are learning to take there milk quicker , go back to sleep quickly and as hubby is around to help but the last couple of nights they have both had bouts of colic with Blake being particlar bad. It is absolutly heart wrenching when you can;t do anything to help them and they are crying so much. We started on the infacol today so hopefully this will help tonight.
Have either of yours had colic?? Any tips??
My two sisters came around this evening as they both have children and gave them their first bath. They didn;t enjoy it to much but hopefully will get use to it with time.
Well I am off to coo and try and get a bit of sleep while they are.

hi charlie, glad everthing is well... welcome to the world of deprived sleep haha!
i expressed milk for my 2 but topped up with bottle, mainly because they were in scbu and it worked well, emerson breastfed aswell but mabel liked the bottle more so i expressed, they are just on formula now because i got mastitis, it was horrific the pain was so bad i cried all day, i had a fever and was shaking, i had to express milk off and throw it away and it was agony, when i finished antibiotics i hardly expressed anything so i have had to give up but i did it for 4 weeks so it wasnt too bad.
they were on 4 hourly feeds when they left scbu but as soon as we came home it went 3-4 hourly and most nights its 3 hourly!!! little darlings do 4 hrs in the day then go off the rails at night, its good when i stagger the feeds by half hour but when they get out of sync its a nightmare its like im feeding every hour,
Its such hard work but being a twin mum is truly amazing isnt it, the love you feel for them.

Kate congratulations on your girlies, I totally understand how tearful you feel - thats our lovely hormones we have to thank for that. I bet you are so glad to be at home know.
Congratulations to Julie - can;t wait to hear from her when she gets home.
Jue - where has the time gone I can;tbelieve your bundles are weeks old already - I bet they have changed loads.
Sally - I am keeping my fingers crossed that it won;t be much longer for you to wait.
We are on 3 hourly feeds at the moment - is anyone else and is a mixture of bottle and breast - Blake got jaudice so they wanted me to top up my breast milk with formula to help. Jensen is due his next feed so will have to love and run.

Hello everyone
I am the proudest mummy to my beautiful twin boys. Am so glad to be home now (got home late tuesday night) had a bit of a rough time in hospital will when I get a min let you know all the shaningans but basically pre care fantastic, C-section amazaing, but once I hit the post natal ward it all went down hill very quickly. I had no help and only manged to get 6 hours sleep in 5 days was very tearful and in a lot of pain but worse of all they were really strick on visting times including hubby's so I was left on my own for a lot of it.
My boys are just the cutest ( not been biased at all) and am loving seeing them change every day.

Got Julies text yesterday too. I cried, and I have just cried again, bl@@dy hormones. I cant believe you are all doing so well. I am so happy for all of you girls. I feel like I have known you all for ages. Not long now I know, well saw m/w yesterday and cried (all I seem to be doing lately) and she was reallly nice, as twin 1 is engaged, twin2 is causing me pain because it has all the room now and is making the most of it!!!
I cant wait to see all the new arrivals photos (even though it will make me cry). You should all be so proud of yourselves, I know I am proud of you all and myself for coping this long. Take care girlys and chat soon. X X X14/11/08 08:52

all well here, dh went back to work on mon but it hasnt been too bad apart from at night when the darlings are up every hour! not too bad last night though.
sallyanne it might not be as long as 3 weeks, i have been looking on th DID forum and they have got a few births already, hope you are feeling well.

Hi guys, got text from kate last night "Ruby May and Poppy Sue were born at 12.10 and 12.22 today. Ruby 6lb 8 and Poppy 4lb 6, bit traumatic at end but all good. they both with me but Poppy needs temp regulated a bit. X X"
Hopefully everything is going well for them today.
Julie good luck for tomorrow mate. I will be thinking of you as well. Only me left then!!! I've still got at least 3 weeks to go. If you want, as Kate is in hospital, you can PM me your number and I can keep everyone up to date when you let me know how you are getting on tomorrow.
If I hear any more from kate I will let you all know.

Hi guys, had a text from Kate yesterday saying " had more gel, am having the odd contraction but nowt regular at moment. Babies fine but back to back now so hurts back!!
I have texted today to see if she has had them yet but as yet no reply so hopefully she has had them and they are all doing well. Will update you as soon as I know anymore.
