Hi ladies,
Lovely names charlie and daryl, hope you are all well, its such an emotional time, i still keep staring at my 2 now and cant stop kissing them, we are so lucky to be blessed with twins.
Kate and julie if i dont get on here for a few days, good luck to both of you, nearly there now....how exciting!!
sallyanne, hope you are feeling ok, are you feeling like you have had enough yet?
a friend of mine had twins yest at 32 weeks, she was really struggling towards the end and she was a workaholic, even she had to stop work at 30 weeks.
take care all, going to lie down for 5 mins...had a bad night last night and their feeds went all out of sync with each other, Dh goes back to work tomorrow got to get them back in line or im stuffed!!!!!!!

Thank you for update Daryl.. lovely names!!! can only imagine how emotional you all must be and sure me and DH will be same this week.. hope charlie has got some sleep and feels slightly better... but like you say - think proper sleep is gonna be a while to come!!!!!!!!!!! and time to yourself the same!!!!!! send my love to charlie... x

Just a quick update, we have named the boys Blake and Jensen. They are both feeding well. Charlie (and me) have been very emotional today, Charlie has not had any sleep in the last 36 hours, but hopefully she will tonight as the healthcare assistant will be doing a feed or 2. The boys were born by C Section, and Charlie was up and moving about this morning but the tiredness has made her feel worse this evening. Well done Charlie and Daryl. Cant wait to see photos. 2 of us already oh no now I am getting scared. Kate if I dont get on here during the weekend, good luck for monday honey. jue - cant believe yours are 30 days already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that has flown!!
hope julie and sally ok too.. i actually slept a little bettter last night.. had a bath to sooth tummy and legs and then was asleep by midnight and up 2 hourly insetad of hourly!

This is Charlies DH writing on her behalf. We had twin boys delivered at 12.26pm and 12.27pm, they weighed 5lb 3oz and 5lb 14oz. All three of them are doing well, the twins have started bf'ing and I have changed some pretty gruesome looking nappies (it's like black tar). Charlotte is hoping to be able to get up tomorrow morning, but I will insist she takes it easy. I will post pictures when I get a chance. Kate, good luck for Monday. DH = Daryl.6/11/08 17:46
ah Jue - same happened to me with the post.. how frustrating!! have had a break before re posting!
Mum sis and her twins just left so now exhausted!!! and all i did was sit on sofa....
so - nowt from charlie as yet but fingers crossed she has her little ones in her arms now!! Hope we hear from her soon
Julie - this is the best place to moan i reckon as we all understand.. i am so miserable at the moment and this is the longest week of my life... the pain is awful now and i dread nights as cant sleep.. its is driving me mad!!!! have been up til 3ish the past few nights and then hourly to go to loo.... ahhhhh! how on earth u have managed 'early nights' i have no idea!!!!! haha!
jue - glad mabel and emerson are doing so well.. same as sally would love to see more pics when you get chance!
sally - legs - i have been having same and it is so frustrating.. however i have found that iron supplement from health shop (floradux) its liquid which tastes awful has helped a bit.. did have iron tabs from doc but made me throw up so have this instead which MW recommended.. may be worth a try! when is your next appt.. u will have date then!!
are any of you on facebook by the way?? easeir to share photos if so???
so as above - feeling S**t and down and miserable and in pain.. hurts to move or do anything and am so looking forward to being comfy again and sleeping on my tummy!! was just chatting to mum and sis about it all and i reckon if induced monday they will arrive tuesday and i may struggle with 2 min silence f in labour???!!!! however if that is the day one will be called poppy which was an original name we liked but seems appropriate now.. even though i reckon all little girls born that day will be called poppy!!!

hope charlie is ok cant wait to hear some news!!
i had another bad nights sleep last nigth. now cant feel my hands at night with the carpel tunnel syndrome i have and its getting really painful. see the consultant tomorrow so im hoping to lay it on thivk and maybe she will sympathise and start me!!! although knowing my luck she will say just 6 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!! its ok for them they dont have to put up twith the lack of sleep and pain!!

sally - not long for you to go now the next few weeks will fly in its just the last week that drags!!! i have been cleaning like mad and going for walks and having hot curries and even hotter baths not to mention the odd early night
but so far nothing is happening!!!jue- your so lucky you are out the other side and your two are doing so well im sure it only feels like yest you where preg and wondering what they looked like etc!!
kate - just 4 days to go for you im sure your glad despite being a little nervous

Any up dates on Charlie?? I hope she is ok, Julie 7 days to go and counting. Jue, I am glad those little ones are putting on so much weight. I know you have your hands full but when you get a chance can you put some more photos on as they are so cute. Kate, Only got till Monday honey Unless anything happens before.
I hope we all keep in touch after the births. I have still got a way to go, only 34 weeks today and very uncomftable. I actually managed to sleep quite well last night, only got up once for a wee!!!! But legs are still aching at night. O/H said maybe we should put you on a spit roast and programmme it to turn me over in bed every few hours. Oh he is so sweet not!!! Must admit though I really cant fault him through this pregnancy as he has been so supportive. Have you all had the support with your other halfs??? Chat soon. All well here, mabel and emerson are fast asleep after being awake all night as usual, little darlings, mabel is 5lb 5 now and emerson is 5lb 6, doing great xx

Morning..
another awful night sleep so glad the countdown is now on.. figured am not getting more than 4/5 hours a night and only get an hour before going to loo again so pretty prepared for arrivals now! AM so tired right now though and legs ache ahhh!
Anyway.. real reason i came on, update from Charlie... text this morning...
'i have been in hos for two days with high blood/swellling/migraine and am 90% sure will be having them tomorrow'
She will know in next hour or so... she asked DH to update here but - if you are reading charlies hubby, dont worry! Just send charlie our love!!!
IF i hear anymore will keep you guys posted too..
How are you all feeling at moment.. silly question??!!!!

10 days to go !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no that im counting
i am sooooo fed up today went for a big walk last yesterday and cleaned the garage out and the car and generally didnt sit all day!! any sign of labour???? not a chance

good to hear from you charlie.. how exciting you have a date.. so you having section or being induced?? i am having scan and appt on tues so will hopefully find out then..! I hope so, i just want a dtae i know it will be over as like you am so fed up, heavy and uncomfy, hurts to walk etc so yes want them here now!!!!! cant wait to find out what you have too!!! Did u ever swap numbers with anyone?? I will PM you in min just incase so others can be kept posted...
Jue - as i said, your two are gorgeous! Thanks for updating the pics, its lovely seeing them. I started having a read through the starting posts last night.. cant believe time is here now!!
julie - yes before you know it you will be mum to 4!!! amazing! Yeah i know what you mean about xmas, its hard to know what to do!! Sure i wont be able to resist some of 1st xmas stuff!!! i am same with clothes.. maternity stuf too small! Have had to get some long jumper dresses so i know they cover it.. and taken to wearing leggins which have support built in.... like u say dont wanna be spending out but i dont wanna flaunt by belly either!!!

Sorry for not posting much lately- just been really crap I only seem to get up at the moment to eat or go to the hospital.
Jue - have just had a look at your piccies and they are absolutley gorg. How lovely to be at home with them now.
Julie - two weeks today and you will have your babies how exiciting.
Sallyanne - how are you feeling?? your babies are fantastic weights.
Kate - have you been given a date yet????
Julie - I know that feeling of - is one of the babies making an entrance now - is that possible with no labour pains???? I have been assured that I will know if I go into full blown labour.
Just to let you all know that I am very excited as I now have a date for a planned C-section. I had my last growth scan on Monday, Twin 1 4llb 10 and twin 2 5llb 9. The fluid around twin 1 is on the low end and has slowed down growing again. The sonographer said if it was a singleton with low fluid levels and slow growth then they would deliver seeing as I was passed 36 weeks but was not sure as twins. I was due back in the afternoon to see the consultant so she sent me to the day assessment unit for a trace as felt the constulant would want one done. DH and went had the trace done. I overheard the two midwifes saying 'yep- he'll have her in this week for a c-section' and noticed they were looking at my scan so obviously got very exicited thinking I'll finally meet them this week. Well no- the consultant would like to get me to 38 weeks and I have to go in every other day for mointoring. I know I shouldn;t complain as the longer they are in me the better but I am defo ready to have them. So my date girlies is 10/11/2008.
My dinner is done so I better go but will post again soon.

Kate, i felt like you do, i really struggled towards the end and i wasnt as far gone as you are!!! i felt really emotional and felt my body was giving up, i was so big everything hurt, its right you dont like to moan because we have been blessed with twins and they are so special but also it is alot for our bodies to cope with, take care, hope you are feeling ok.
Julie..you are like me with 2 kids already and dh has got 2 so we have 6 between us, it seems weird now saying that i have got 4 children, hope you have found something to cover your bump today cause its cold!!
i know how you feel and alot of my maternity clothes were summer ones and didnt want to buy winter ones just for a few weeks.charlie, hope you are well, hope to hear from you soon xx
i have added some more pics, dont seem to have had time to take many since they have been home, i have put camera on the side ready to take some more later.
They got weighed yest, mabel is now 5lb 1oz and has put on 13oz in a week and emerson is now 4lb 11oz and has put on 7oz, they are definately night babies and are asleep at the min, got to go now and express some milk, im so glad i am bottle feeding them with nutriprem2 and ebm so dh can help me'

kate - i have started a few bits and pieces for xmas for the boys but only got a few rattles and small things for the twins. not going to go mad on them this year cause they wont understand and i think it would be silly. going to make big of the boys this year then next year all 4!!!!!! can you belive 4 kids!!!!!!!!! i need my head seeing too

Charlie congratulations on the birth of your 2 boys they are lovely names and im sure you are over the moon they have finally arrived. sorry to hear your feeling a bit down but that will hopefuly pass soon and you will enjoy being a mum to the boys. xxx

jue prob seems like forever since you where preg and waiting n your 2 being born. i still can belive it its all very sureal at the minute although im sure reality will kick in when they are born.
sally not long for you now and we will all be n here complaining about the lack of sleep and routines etc.
i am being induced on thurs morning at 9am and i swaer it feels like forever away!! i have swollen up all over and and soooo uncomfortable its unreal. just 4 more sleeps to do and that it all over
then the real fun begins 
hope you are all well and will get on as much as i can over the next few days xx thinking of you all x
