also they didnt do est weight till i was 28weeks and i had to ask them to do it, after that they automaticly told me! i asked on mon how acurrate it is and he said u can give or take 3oz's. x

mine took about 10 mins, they measured head circumference,occipitofrontal(head again) abdominal and femur length and another of stomach i think and a few times measured the deepest pool of fluid . then they checked the heart action, amniotic fluid and placenta and quickly went over the bladder/kidneys/brain etc. i always like to look at my notes after scans as they put those growth charts in. my mum crys at each scan as she finds it all so clever- bless!

i got good pics from all but one of my scans as baby's head was engaged at the last one. my last scan was monday as i'm 35weeks and it was just very cramped in there that i couldnt see much but all the others were so good, i love it when the babies are facing upwards as u get some wicked profile pics of there faces!

i had my 24 week growth scan on tues, was a quick appointment, they mesured all the bits the other girls have montioned, but didnt give an indication of weight, but still early days for that yet i suppose

At mine the sonographer first got her bearings - then she checked heartbeats - then she measured twin a's head belly and femur....then repeated with b - it was pretty quick and straightforward

I had a growth scan at 17 wks and they check head size, tummy size and thigh bone - this they estimated babies weight from.

I have another of these on Wednesday (24 +3) so I am assuming same kind of thing but will be interested to know what everyone else is getting too.

Im due for my first of many growth scans next week and was wondering if they were the same has previous scans and wondered if anyone could tell me what to expect? Are they long or short scans etc? What do they look for?(apart from the fact that they are growing lol!!!)
