Hi hun, I don't want to scare you too much, but I had my id twin girls at 29+6 after what I thought was just normal discharge but actually turned out to be my waters breaking over a long period of time. My waters did finally break in the "whoosh" you'd expect about 10 days after they started.

PLEASE contact your hospital if you feel something like this could be happening to you - a midwife may not quite understand the differences with ID twins. My experience is not unique with ID twins, I have since met mums who went into labour  from 26 weeks onwards with ID twins.

You'll be pleased, and relieved, to know that my girls are PERFECT, and reach 14 weeks old tomorrow, and have grown from little 4lb bundles to 12lb giants!!

Good luck whatever happens, and I hope I have not scared you too much, but I'd hate for something untoward to happen and I'd never forgive myself if I didn't say anything!!

Hi, I went to the hospital last week for my usual check up and mentioned the show I had.  The Dr gave me steroid injections on Thurs & Fri to mature the babies lungs just in case they come early. I am taking things easy now and will be leaving work in a couple of weeks!! 29 wks +3 id twins.

Nearly 29 weeks. On 19 Sept I will be 40 weeks but doubt they will wait that long! The dr was looking at inducing me around the mid - end of Aug. Not taken any steroids because the show only happened yesterday.

    Hi

I am no expert on this and I am sure there is nothing to worry about but am surprised that the widwife has not suggested to go to hosptial to get checked out. If babies want to make an earlier than planned entrance then they may want to give you steroids.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi, has anyone been experiencing mucus with a little blood from their vagina.  Last night I thought I'd wet myself, but after going to the loo I found a light yellow jelly mucus stuff with blood when i wiped myself. I spoke to my midwife and she said not to worry about it, but was wondering if anyone has had this and how long afterward did they end up in labour.  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks, 29 wks id twins
