I too had emergency section with first and consultant advised that if i wanted to try for a vbac then i could but she didnt have a crystal ball and there was every chance that twin 1 coiuld be delivered vaginally but then twin 2 could go breech if it wasnt already due to then all the room being left and could end up in section.
The thought of having poss tear and stitches down below and then pain from section scar unbearable so decided to just opt for an elective section. I had my id twin boys on 18th June and found the whole experience a lot more relaxed and bearable than first time round. I have even found that I am coping with the discomfort a lot better even though I have again got an infection in it.
The day before the section I saw my consultant and both babs where head down but when babs where delivered by section just day later babs 2 had gone breech. so you just dont know whats going to happen, with an elective section you are more in control - you decide what day that babs are to be delivered, you go in and within 10mins of being in theatre your babs are in your arms, with a vbac you just dont know what outcome will be - my babs 2 needed oxygen when he was delivered which was quite scary and feel that if i had gone for a vbac he couldnt of coped as he was only 4lb 15oz which is still a good weight for id twins but feel he couldnt of coped with full on labour and being pushed out.
Hope all goes well with the remainder of your pregnancy and you opt for the ideal delivery for yourself.

Hi Girlies
Saw the consultant yesterday for my 28 week consultaton. I had a emergency section with my dd so was expecting resistence to a VBAC from him, thinking he's want me to have a section again. He said he's happy with whatever I am happy wit! He's not even worried about delivering one baby normally and if the second is breech he's not automatically going to do a section then, he is very keen to try turn the baby himself.
He was very considerate to the thought of having 3 children under 3 and having a section which for some stupid reason surprised me - don't know why but he is a man!
I feel so much more relaxed about 'what will be will be' now to be honest. I hope you ladies are having this too. Refreshing.......
Scan next week, then 2 weekly scan and consultation. Things are rolling now!

Thanks girls for your thoughts.
I am torn (pardon the pun!) with what to do but the circumstances of my section last time were to do with that delivery (to do with what the consultant said was an 'interesting decision' of his (!!) to induce me at 37 weeks thinking my waters had gone but they hadn't and hence the drip induction failed after 48 hours - I never even got a twinge of labour!!)
He thinks, and I agree, there is plenty of time to make the decisions but it's nice to have someone that is supportive of what I would like. Staceyebony, he is happy to deliver breech if the second one is not in the right place so I hope your consultant thinks the same if that's what you feel too.
What will be will be though - watch this space!!
