I had mine delivered at 36 weeks. i basically told them they needed to induce me! I couldnt carry them anymore, it was becoming impossible to do anything and im sure youve been in loads of pain with the SPD so just tell our consultant you cannot go on like this and would like him to fetch them. They both sound like good weightd anyway so highly likely you wont even have to stay in hospital. I think i chat to you on msn if ive got the right lady lol. Put your views across to the specialist and see what he says x Hope its not long now

Thanks for your reply and advice sarah.  Sounds like you did well to hang on another 13 days.  I can't imagine how fed up you must have felt being in the hospital for so long.  Makes me realise although I'm extremely fed up, at least I've got my home comforts.   Hope you and your little ones are doing well.

i had mine at 34+1 weighing 4lb 3oz n 4lb 6oz n their heart rates did go a lil lower i got told its cz they were 'older' n heart rate steadying or something like that just like outsie the womb their heart rate will not be as fast but i would def mention it just 2 be safe. i had a false labour 13 days b4 i went in2 labour. the dr n mw thought i was in labour as id lost a lot of my show has a slight bleed was contracting every 8 mins n having pains but it tailed off n stopped the next day. elliott was fully engaged 4 4 weeks b4 birth n had low fluid levels n was being squashed by alicia n he never became disressed thru any of this! he is a very chilled out lil boy!

i thought 37 weeks was classed as full term with twins anyway. i realy feel 4 u tho as i didnt have the easiest of pregnancies spent the last 10 weeks of it in hospital n i didnt get spd! hope u manage 2 convice ur consultant

    xx

    I have a questionDivaNo1

Hi I'm 36+2 and have an appt with consultant tomorrow for a scan and to plan a c-section as girl is transverse, lying at the bottom.  Boy, above her is breech.  I've had 3mc and naturally don't want to take any risks.  I've been having contraction type pains, for the past week,  usually last for 1-2 hours then disappear for several hours.  My midwife is concerned the babies may start to become distressed with the pains.  The last time I saw my consultant, he wanted me to hang on for as long as poss, despite me being housebound with severe SPD since 13 weeks, and his registrar telling me they would look to deliver me at 37 weeks,  I'm really scared as I don't want to take any risks.  I don't want to put the twins in jeopardy and also, I don't want to run the risk of contractions stepping up and having to have an emergency section before the date he gives me.  Does anyone have any advice on how I might be able to persuade my consultant for an early section date?  At 34 weeks scan they weighed approx 4.5 lbs.  Also, I've been listening to the heart beats and  they have always been about 160 and 150 repectively, but this week they've been 150 and 140, is it normal at the end for the heartrates to drop a bit at this stage?
