I was induced at 39+1, It all depends on your scans, if the babies are small they'll let you go longer. mine weighed 6lb and 6.5lb when born vaginally. Have you asked your consultant for an earlier date?

hey i had mine at 37+1 by planned c section but a friend of mine who has b/g twins refused induction and didnt go into natural labour until41+6!!!!!! i can really understand ya worry/frustration- if ya anything like me from about 30wks i felt like a hippo!!!!!!!!!but ultimately the longer you can keep them in the better!!!!

I've been told I can go until 40 weeks by myself and not a day over then they will induce me 'gently' (I had a prev section) Consultants are often not keen to induce prev section scars due too the risk of rupture but my consultant said he was OK with a 'very gentle' induction at 40 weeks. If nothing within 6 hours of that then a section. He said to me it would be a miracle if I got to that though as in 20 odd years of doing the job most twin mummies go into Labour 36-38 weeks themselves.

some hospitals don't  allow prev sections to be induced at all though, and even more if they are twins this time around. You may have to fight your corner!

    Good luck

I would have loved to have gone into natural labour with mine, I was told I could go no further than 38 weeks, before I could have a "gentle induction" I too had already had one section.

So I got to 38 weeks, had my gentle induction then still ended up with a section, I often wonder if my body had gone into labour naturally would I have laboured better?? I'm sure I would as everything would have been ready, rather than it had been forced labour.

If you're opting for a vbac I think the best desision is to let yourself go into a natural labour if you can.

Enjoy the last few weeks of peace!!!

I have been told i have to go into labour myself, they wont start as i have had a prevoius emergency cection. So they are going to leave me 40 plus and if i dont go i will get  a date to be cectioned.

But everyone else i have spokent to has been started at 38 weeks and told they dont let u go over 38 weeks with twins?

Is this right or anyone experienced the same?

The thought of going another 3 weeks im hugeeeeee already.
