hey, im 25weeks with identical girls, and from about 15-20weeks, 1 was always a fair bit bigger than the other, but then 1 shot up n has kept reasonably the same size, 1 of the consultants even said to be honest the amount the twins move about, they are never fully sure which 1s which they just guess twin 1 and twin 2. i got told they only start to worry slightly if the difference gets over 25% so i wouldnt worry to much x

    I have a questionmisspixie27

I know i'm alot earlier than anyone and still at a sesitive stage so to speak but i had a scan on friday and one measure 6 and the other 6+1 which i thought was fine. I then went for another scan yesterday and one now measures 7+3 and the other only 6+5 they didn't seem worried at all by this but i was a little concerned...i suppose there is so much time left and anything can happen so i'll just see how we go.

    HI

I have 14 month old b/g twins. From 20 week scan I was scanned every 2 weeks then from 30 weeks every week as DD was not as big as DS, at 36.5 weeks she hadn't grown from the week before so they took me in the next day, BP high too, Delivered DS 1st weighing 5lb 15oz and DD 43 minutes later - she was far too comfy - weighing 4lb 5oz. She has never caught up with her brother and their is now a 6lb difference between them but she is totally healthy and had no problems, as long as she was growin at a steady and consistent rate they were quite happy

    Good luck x

Hi there, I am 30wks pg with non id twins (boy and girl) on thursday i had a groth scan and they said that the girl wasn't growing as well as they want, so my consultant came in the room and sat down and said you will be coming for scans every wk now and we will be looking to deliver you in about 6 wks and then left........

Normaly i would have been happy as long as my babies are ok but as 1 is breech and the other is trans and i was hoping to deliver normaly it was a big shock and totaly out of the blue. So i can understand how you feel but you have lots of time yet, don't worry about it just yet so much more is going to happen and they have so much time to grow, but if your really worried talk to your doctor and they might be able to set your mind at rest thats why they are there, good luck x
