I just had b/g twins 13 days ago and loving every minuite. I went into labour naturally at 38+3. My consultant wanted to start me but i wanted to go myself. I had a sweep @ 38 weeks with was not painful as I was 3 cm dilated and 90% affaced then my waters broke (trickled for about 24 hours) then went into labour myself 24 hours later. My babies were born twin1 (girl) 6lb5 an twin 2 (boy) 6lb2.  I stayed in the hospital for 4 days but I had to have a cesarian and i was b/f so i decided to stay in the hosp for the rest but im not sure how early i would have got out if i had asked.

The best advice I could offer is to take it easy. I was really lucky with my DP as he run around after me, but i understand this is not easy when people have other children.

No we dont have any other twins in the family so while the girls are just "one of those things" these two I have no idea how they came about lol.

I am going to be come a recluse when these two are born I swear other than they dont do quad trolleys id be ambushed the second I get through the doors lol its nice though I had a lovely lady stop me the other day and she was so sweet talking to the girls and then asking about the bump and she didnt do any of the normal of oooh youl have your hands full or anything like that she simply wished me and hubby all the best and said how nice it is to see a happy family made my day that and it makes a wonderful change to the normal we get from people of "dont you two have a tv in your bedroom" not very original is it lmao!

i cant go anywere without being mitherted! its nice ppl r realy friendly, was chatting 2 an old couple the other day on the way 2 the chemist n they were tellin bt their 58 year old twin girls! lol! the woman in the bakery was messin about n told her colligue 2 distract me while she stole my twins! lol! but sometimes when ur in a rush or they can quite obviously c 1 is cryin n they still wont leave u alone it can get annoyin! i stayed in 4 4 days after, could have gone home the day b4 cz i did feel well enuf bt just wanted 2 spend sum extra time with them b4 i went n there was no dr 2 discharge me anyway! i was 8st 3lb at 6 weeks preg, 8st 5lb at 15 weeks. i did weigh myself after that but cant remember when! when i had them i was 11st!! still not faced the scales yet .... w8in 4 my bum 2 dissapear! lol! think i was prob bt 9st or sumfin at 25 weeks

did you have to stay in hospital long, thats another concern of mine, i think i would just want to go asap. as i had to stay in a few days with my daughter and it drove me mad. lol!!

wow your babies sound like there doing fab. hope all goes as smoothly for me too. nice to hear happy stories

not sleeping well at all, :O suffering with this symphsis pubis dysfunction, not good the heavier i get the worse it gets!!!

ive put on 17lb so far do you remember how much you put on  at 25 weeks? or even at full term. my uterus id measuring at 34 weeks already, eeeek!!!

i have visions when having the babies that i will become public property-everyone stopping you in the street etc cooing in asking if their twins. do you get that a lot ?  honestly you would think i would worry about more trivia things, ha!!!

wow 2 lots of twins, were you shocked when it was twins again? cause they say identical twins are non-hereditry where as boy girl are hereditry. i have no idea where twins have come from in my family. we still laugh hysterically about it, lol!!!

its nice to have a chat on here with similar experiences and listening to the pro's who already have survived the twinnys

OMG was just bt 2 press send n the internet crashed!!! il try agen! lol!

they were realy tiny i didnt realise just how small they were untill i seen term babies. the micro nappies were up 2 their shoulder blabes! elliott dropped 2 4lb 1oz n alicia dropped 2 3lb 14 oz. they were just skin n  bones they didnt even have bum cheeks! lol! just a bum hole n a lil dimple where the bum cheeks normaly stop! they filled out a lot now tho!

my waters went at 2am n contractions started at 1:30 pm but were so strong n i was 3cm dialated after 2 contractions so they tried 2 stop the labour as needed 2 be transferred out as scbu was full but nothing worked. i had 3 contractions 20 mins apart then went str8 2 4 mins apart so was given gas n air. they finaly decided 2 do the section at 6pm n checked me n i was 5/6 cm but by the time they took me 2 theatre it was i big long contraction n i was on the verge of pushing n i had them at 19:18 n 19:19.

the pain n recovery wasnt as bad as i thought it would be n i was ony on 30/500 co-codamol as im alergic to the drugs they normaly give. im realy pleased with my scar its neat n heald very well. the cathiter was horrible when they put it in! even tho i hadent eaten since a salad at 12 i was being sick n wreching thru out the op but think that was a combination of gas n air n the spinal. my nose gas realy itchy!!! lol! random i know! they gave me anti hystamines.

i chose 2 have a section as among a lot of other reasons like how ill i was at the end n lack of sleep, elliotts cord was attached in a dodgy way n there was a risk of him bleeding when the waters went or me bleeding as it was likely that the cord would separate from the placenta during the delivery. they were going 2 make me have a section but when his waters went there was no blood so with it only me being at risk they were happy 2 let me deliver naturaly

Hello!!! Im Carla im currently 19+6 with b/g twins due Jan 1st but we also have identical twin girls who are 8 months old and they came at 36 weeks exactly so i know these will be born dec also consultant said 38 weeks and no later for induction!!!

I worried non stop that they would come too early and I am this time too but give it another couple of weeks huni and your babies will have a really good chance of survival out of the womb so try not to stress too much xxxxxx

hello wellcome n congrats! in sarah im 21 n my twins elliott and alicia will be 10 weeks old 2mz! i had them at 34+1 weeks weighing 4lb 6oz n 4lb 3oz n they weighed 8lb 12oz n 8lb 6oz on monday!

how r u feeling so far? ur not a numpty! lol! majority of my family didnt think i would make  it as far as i did! i used 2 have dreams bt going in2 prem labour! lol!

hi people, finally some where i can relate to. im currently pregnant with b/g twins 25 weeks + 4 days.

my names kerry and already have a 3 year old daughter who is also very excited about the twins.

my due date is 21st nov although ive been told i wont make it that far so its looking like a october deliver and hoping for a natural birth, depending on little girl AKA twin 1, as shes blocking the exit so if shes breech at 36 weeks then an elective c-section is booked by the consultant..

im so worried all the time im gonna go into a real early labour, is this normal. feel a bit of a numpty!!!
