Wow goodness me!! Thanks so much for all your feedback. I didn't realise how lucky I'd been until I read your comments. I will pass on your regards and make sure she knows she is not alone out there!! Fingers crossed it will pas for her. I can't imagine how she will be able to get herself back to work at the moment! Anyway thanks again ladies and good luck with everything. Who knows maybe I 'll be back with more questions further down the line!! x

Hi i totally sympathise, my twin pregnancy was just like hers and i was hospitalised twice. The second time was so bad that they didn't even wait for a bed to be ready for them to put the drip on me and my veins collapsed. I ended up leaving hospital on 5 different types of medication. I was so weak throughout the rest of my pregnancy as my appetite was not as it should have been and spent most of it asleep. By the time i started to feel better which was around 33wks i went into labour at 34+3, but my little angels arrived safe and well at 3lb 12oz and all is well.
So goodluck

Hi I totally sympathise with her I was sick from the moment I found out I was pregnant till about 4 and a half months, I couldnt stand any smells of food I couldn't eat anything at all if I wasnt sick I was gagging and if I wasnt gagging I was sleeping, I slept nearly the whole time. When the sickness slowed down then come the dreaded ingestion and heartburn, I hit the third trimester and im now suffering feeling sick indigestion and heartburn.
The only thing I could keep down was full sugar lemonade but I had to sip it. I tried ginger ale / ginger biscuits and nothing worked for me. I was scared the twins wouldnt grow but the reason you feel so poorly is cos they take everything u have.
Last week at a growth scan (32+5) my twins was estimated at 5lbs each so I must be doing something right lol.
I have bad odema, elephant legs / ankles and feet and carpal tunnel syndome.
Saying all the above I wouldnt change a thing cos carrying these two babies are a total blessing and I cant wait to meet them now.
Give her our regards.

Hi
I feel really sorry for her because I got it from about 5 weeks and had never had anything like this before and ended up on tablets which i didnt want to take but it was either that or they were going to admit me to hospital on a drip but thankfully the worked and it eased off at about 16 weeks. I tried everything from ginger to wrist bands etc it is hard and it just drains you so much but it does improve thankfully.

Congratulations to your sister in law.
Morning sickness is definately worse with twins - and it does not just last in the morning. I was being sick from 7 weeks and did not stop til 16 - 17 weeks. I had to constantly eat
.I think it could be twins especially if thru ivf. Also your tummy grows at a faster rate - so that could also be a sign . Good Luck

Hiya, I want to ask a question on behalf of my sister in law really. I keep telling her to join up but she's not got round to it yet LOL!!! She is only about 8 weeks gone and she is suffering TERRIBLY with morning sickness. She has said that she's been told it can be worse with twins and she has conceived using IVF so guess that can have an impact too with all the injections etc. Anyway what I was wondering was did any of you guys suffer really badly? Do you have any wierd and wonderful suggestions for getting through the day? She has just today been admitted to hospital coz she is unable to keep anything down so they need to put her on a drip for fluids so I just thought that maybe there would be something out there that she hasn't tried! Grateful for any hints, tips or suggestions!!
Thanks ladies! Good luck with everything!!

I totally sympathise with your SIL I was violently sick from about 5 and a half weeks up to giving birth to my twins at 38 weeks, the condition is called Hyperemesis.
I was signed off work for the whole of my pregnancy and slept most of the time; I lost over 2 and a half stone and was hospitalised on numerous occassions with dehydration; I was fed up of looking at the 4 walls in my bedroom!!!!
BUT it was worth every tear and toilet hugging moment that I went through - my girls are 8 months old today.
