I had 2 moses baskets, then put them into 1 cotbed but DS would roll and hit/kick DD so put the 2nd cotbed up earlier than planned. Even had a cot divider but he managed to knock that down lol...

My twins are 16wks now and sleep in the same cot bed, they love to snuggle up together and i often wake up to find Izzy with either her arm or leg drapped over Shay. it's lovely to see that and i would never have seen it if they had been seperated.

yeh i found out the sexes at about 16/17wks, i was told they were girls. then a wk or so later i had lasor surgery as they had ttts and was told they were boys and that they were certain cause they got a good close up (OH was delighted as we already have 2 girls) then at my twenty week scan i was told they were girls again! how confusing! i made them check every week after that for several weeks just to make sure! tho i think at 20 wks onwards finding out the sex is pretty accurate, apparently they got it wrong cause they're bits tend to be quite swollen b4 then! TMI! I had a planned c. section at 36wks cause of problems with ttts (just to be on safe side). They weighed 4lb6oz and 3lb13oz and had no major probs, stayed on maternity ward with me. they had to go in and out of incubator several times as they had some probs keeping their temps at 1st but incubator was kept by my bed so wasnt too bad. We all left hosp together after 6 days.
U got any preferences on boys/girls? I didnt mind which, OH obviously was hoping for boys but at the end of the day he was just happy to have 2 healthy beautiful babies n we wouldn't change em for the world!

Yeah me too. Got seperate moses baskets, will get a big cot bed for them to share when they outgrow the moses basket. Do you know what your having? Are you all packed and prepared? I've heard they can come early..

Hiya i havent had my twins yet due 25th december but i am intending to buy 1 big cot bed and a cot divider as think they might settle better and i couldnt get 2 cots in my bedroom. I am starting them off in moses baskets until they grow out of them and will buy the cot when they are born to make things a bit easier.

How far in the pregnancy were you when you had them? Did you find out their sexes before they were born? Hope you don't mind me asking, it's just nice to speak to someone else with twins. I'm nervous and excited, I have my 5 month scan tomorrow and can't wait to find out! Roll on Tuesday!!!

yeh i spotted one of those divider things the other day, didnt even know they existed, would've been handy over the last few months to have had one of those tho. xx

Thanks for that.
I've seen quite a few cot beds that are a decent size so I thought that would be the best way. I also just noticed online a divider that you can get to split the cot in two sections so they both have their own space. This may be quite useful. Thanks again.

Hi ya! welcome and congrats on your pregnancy. I've got 7 mth old twins and they're still in same cot together tho i'm buying a second one this weekend as its starting to get a bit cramped in there! My twins were tiny when they were born and i put them together in a moses basket for the 1st couple of wks then side by side in the cot. They looked so lost on they're own and they really liked snuggling up together! Once they were too big to go side by side and too mean (they kept attacking eachother!!) I put them at opposite ends of the cot which has worked well until now as they're now big enough to move up and start smacking eachother again! lol! With all the other things you'll have to buy its easier and kinder to your bank balance to just buy the one for now!! xx

Hi everyone,
This is my first post, just joined - so bear with me..!
I'm expecting twins (due 4 Feb 09) and was wondering if parents of multiples could advise - should I just use one big cot for both of them or buy seperate cots? Any past experiences would be very welcome.

i am new to all this as my first but not sure if to get two moses baskets and 2 cot beds. has anybody got any advice
